Based on the heat transfer theory, the temperature field mathematical model of permanent magnet wind turbine was establish, then the solving domain basic assumptions and the corresponding boundary conditions were put forward. Further, the prototype 1/4 model was taken as the calculating area with finite element analysis software, and different parameters of the stator, magnet temperature field were calculated, eventually the highest temperature distribution in the operation and the heat transmission path were worked out. Further more, the actual temperature distribution under various operating conditions were captured by the FLIR infrared thermal imagers. Through mutually authenticating and making up the shortcomings of the two results, the distribution laws of dynamic temperature field of permanent magnet wind turbine were obtained by comparing the calculated results with measured ones. It will provide reference for the design and the production of the permanent magnet wind turbine. Source
