A data acquisition system for fiber optic gyroscope inertial navigation system based on Microsoft Visual C++ is developed. The data acquisition system consists of three functional modules: serial communication, data storage and real-time display. In the serial communication module, the MSComm control in Visual C++ is used to achieve the serial communication between fiber optic gyro inertial navigation system and personal computer. The auto-storage and real-time display of the output acceleration, angular velocity and attitude data of the inertial navigation system are achieved by the data storage and real-time display modules. The presented system has been tested repeatedly, the results show that it has stable and reliable performances and can be applied to the engineering practice.
