In order to reduce the crushing energy consumption of magnetite ore effectively, all the processes are taken as a consumption system. Through the investigation of production data from massive typical mining enterprises, a model for the rational distribution of energy consumption was established using statistics and the laws of energy consumption distribution of various operation links were studied. According to the different energy efficiency of various crushing links, the energy consumptions of the blasting, crushing and grinding are correspondingly redistributed to optimize energy distribution for Miaogou iron ore. The energy consumption of grinding with low energy efficiency was decreased and the energy consumption of blasting and crushing with high energy efficiency was increased. As a result, the total energy consumption of ore crushing system was greatly reduced. The total cost of 6.315 million yuan during ore crushing system in Miaogou iron ore can be saved annually. ©, 2015, Northeastern University. All right reserved.
