Considering the specificity of environment and strong output fluctuation of hybrid multiple-energy generation system for the islands in China which are developable and not covered by power grid, battery management system(BMS) needs to get the working condition of energy storage device(ESD) timely and accurately to ensure steady and efficient operation. In this paper, taking widely used lead-acid battery as example, an online Kalman filter energy storage state estimation method was proposed which has the function of parameter update based on dual equivalent circuit model. It is on the basis of traditional method. By means of ESD of small-scale wind/solar hybrid generation system and experimental data, Matlab was used to realize the algorithm and carry out simulation study. Compared with the traditional estimation method, the results showed that the method proposed in this paper can improve the precision of estimation errors for terminal voltage and state-of-charge. And can provide reliable parameters to BMS to realize its function.
