Structural finite element model (FEM) updating in dynamics usually deemed the measured modal parameters as the goal. By modifying the theoretical FEM, the updated modal parameters obtained by the analytical FEM would finally tend to the testing results. But the own complexity of the civil structure leads the optimization problem of FEM updating to be super-size and high non-linear performance. Moreover, the uncertainty and nonuniformity of the structures, material and the environment effect cause the uncertainty of the updating parameters, even the optimization objective function of FEM updating. These features has brought greater difficulty to the model updating in civil engineering structure, especially for the application field. Therefore, in this paper several kinds of methods for FEM updating would be introduced with the comparison of their advantages, disadvantages and the range of application. At the end of this paper, the problems remained to be solved in FEM updating of civil structures are to be presented. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications.

Urban passenger transport economic management policy is a critical approach of manager rational allocating passenger transport resources, which involves urban economic, social and environmental coordination development. From the perspective of urban passenger transport manager, this paper systematic review the research on urban passenger transport economic management policy objectives, decision-making methods, evaluation methods and urban passenger transport economic management policy simulation models. Finally discuss the research trends of urban passenger transport manager's economic management policy in the future, and propose to build urban passenger transport economic management policy integration model, aiming at offering some valuable suggestions and references for urban passenger transport managers' economic management policy making.

Due to the fire effect, a frame underpass bridge had suffered a huge damage in Changjiang road in Harbin in the direction to Acheng. One span of the bridge was burned in large area, parts of which were burned badly. Many adjacent beams turned black at bottom of roofs; parts decoration of side wall were damaged to some extent. As a result, both directions of the traffic were disrupted, causing traffic jams. To make sure of repairing and restoring the traffic during the shortest period, Harbin municipal committee established the Changjiang road rescue headquarters. Under the precondition of utmost to save money and ensure that the repaired underpasses technology standards meet the design requirements, the research group were about to use steel plate or carbon fiber sheet as the reinforcing material, after detecting and identifying the bridge damage. Through a comprehensive consideration for the ascension of normal section bearing capacity of two reinforcing materials, pasting carbon fiber sheet was adopted to complete repair reinforcement scheme. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications.

This paper analyzes the impact of ice and snow on the bus running, develops a bus dispatching interval optimization model aimed at the minimum of passenger's waiting time-value and the maximum of bus routes' benefit, and studies the method determining the dispatching interval, which may provide the suggestions about reasonable bus dispatching schemes under the condition of ice and snow. At last, an example is given to analyze the method determining the bus routes dispatching schemes under the condition of ice and snow.

The change of on-street and off-street parking is analyzed, on this basis, the on-street parking mathematical optimization model with parking fee and parking capacity as variable is presented. The model aims at the most beneficial according to the financial profitability and social demand. The off-street aims at the most profitable change separately according to charge principle by average cost pricing method. Then the parking price in Guangzhou and Shanghai through the Lagrange algorithm and the average algorithm is calculated to prove the reliability of the models.

To reduce the freeway trucks' overloading rate and ensure the freeway's normal operation and transportation order, the policy of toll by weight has been applied in China for years. Based on the domestic and international study results on freeway toll by weight, this paper takes the rates of toll by weight decrease in Heilongjiang Province of China on November 15, 2011 as the case study. With the traffic operation data of Wapenyao toll plaza, this paper calculates the price elasticity of overloading truck before and after the toll rates decrease, adopts a combination of theoretical derivation and data analysis to discuss overloading truck users' behavior under the policy of toll by weight. It then puts forward some recommendations on the implementation of toll by weight, which provides the reference for the healthy development of freeway toll by weight.
