The construction of materials based on phthalocyanines and carbon nanostructures, such as fullerenes, single-walled carbon nanotubes, and graphene, through supramolecular interactions has demonstrated to be an efficient strategy for the preparation of novel systems. These photo- and electro-active supramolecular ensembles have been revealed the occurrence of an efficient photoinduced electron-transfer process, thus they can be used as active components in optoelectronic devices.
