The purpose of this article is aimed at forms and methods' improvement of university students' training which facilitates active learning activities. The presented article shows the development of cognitive and creative students' skills in project research activities on case professional problems tasks' solving. The basis of the presented work is the ideas of competence-based, student-activity and design approaches that contribute to the pedagogical principles of educational projects' development. The authors developed a classification of educational projects and the algorithm of teachers' and students' actions during project work within the modules. This article is intended for educators, researchers, managers of educational organizations of higher education who are engaged in the design of the learning content and the development of educational technology in higher education. © The authors. The purpose of this article is aimed at improvement of interaction between a customer and a manufacturer on the basis of quality management methods development in the business structure. The article demonstrates the quality functions' structuring of the final product based on the study of explicit and implicit needs of the client at the products' design stage or its updating. The basis of the presented paper is the ideas of total quality Management, principles of products quality continuous improvement, production losses reduce and lean manufacturing. The article presents the concept of information support of the program "client's voice", which includes the necessary knowledge and information sources, method of information preservation and use, method of information formalizing from the client. We study the characteristics of the arc plasma torch with a porous wall. The increase in mass flow of gas through the porous wall leads to an increase in thermal efficiency of the plasma torch. Compared it with the characteristics of the plasma torch with interbay gas supply. Source

The need to develop a competences model of competitive process engineer is due to the fact that his professional career is multifaceted and there are quite a lot of specializations, professional success in which is determined by the competitiveness of the individual engineer. In this regard, this article aims at developing a competences model of competitive process engineer. The model presented in the paper reflects the technological University students' individual personality traits which are more significant in their future professional activity, as well as individual targets in self-development of students' competitiveness - future engineers, that is especially important in the context of opportunities identifying for the forms and methods improving to design the individual self-development programs of students' competitiveness. The article also reveals persistently recurring seven types of individual self-development of students' competitiveness in their design and creative activity: heuristic, research, technology, practice-oriented, social, communicative and mixed types. The material of this paper are both of theoretical and practical value for scientific and methodological divisions in the development of programs for increasing the competitiveness of universities, as well as for faculty in courses of lectures developing for students of engineering specialties. © The Authors. The problem of service durability of the injection molds for zinc alloys pressure casting was examined. Differences between pressure casting of aluminum and zinc alloys are assigned. Key factors affecting damages of the shape-generating surfaces are considered, including the ones caused by power and temperature influences. It is determined that the greatest negative impact is caused by tensile stresses resulting in arising of new cracks and growth of already existing ones. It is indicated the need of making the additional compression stresses to compensate the tensile stresses impact. These conditions are met by the proposed method of the molds' durability increase, based on the solid multifunctional coverings put by cathode-ion bombardment. The principal advantage of the above mentioned coverings is substantiated by the fact that the positive properties of the single layer are not changed when it is used in a multi-layer structure. There are also determined the key characteristics of nitration presenting the most common way of increasing the service durability of the shape-generating surfaces. The experimental data in support of the proposed theoretical hypothesis are cited. According to these data, the use of multilayer coating put by cathode-ion bombardment allows to increase the quality of the obtained castings in a porosity parameter. Moreover, the service durability indicator of the inserts with a multilayer coating is increased by 25% as compared with the nitration ones and makes about 200 000 cycles of press fittings. Source
