This paper shows the results of studies of the effect of heat treatment at the temperatures of 550 and 1050 °C on the specimen structure, tribological properties of the introduction of rider, strength and plasticity under static as well as durability under cyclic bending loads. The objects of investigation are the nickel-based alloy specimens formed by direct metal deposition. Heat treatment increases the wear resistance of specimens produced by the emission of large carbides. Heating the nickel-based alloy specimens, previously obtained by direct metal deposition to a temperature of 1050 °C (soaking time 1.5 hours) leads to increased abrasion resistance, reduction in strength and ductility due to separation at the grain boundaries of hard carbides which are stress concentrators. Characteristic structural zones formed at direct metal deposition were studied. The sectional structure of specimens consists of alternating zones of columnar and differently oriented small crystals. It is found that the homogeneous structure of the alloy specimens 1535-30 heating to a temperature of 550 °C (soaking time 1.5 hours) leads to an increase in durability under cyclic bending loads, while maintaining unchanged wear characteristics. Research results proposed the mode of heat processing of specimens obtained by the method of direct metal deposition, reducing structural heterogeneity and improving the durability under cyclic bending load. Early diagnostics of cardiovascular disorders undoubtedly is a very crucial task. The heart arrhythmia is a disease, which can cause unexpected death. It is very difficult to control this disease outside the hospital. We can decrease the dearth rate if patients use a handheld device, which can register an electrocardiogram domiciliary. Using this portable device patient can register his electrocardiogram without the help of medical staff. Complex mathematical treatment is used for detection of arrhythmias. We propose to realize it on external servers. In this case developed handled device is used only for registering the electrocardiogram, analog-to digital conversion and transferring data to remote server using a microwave technologies. © 2015 IEEE. Among the reasons of accidents on roads there is drivers' drowsiness. So, it is very important to develop a system that detects an approach of drowsiness and awakes a driver in a case of alarm. The method of detection of drowsiness based on analysis of ECG parameters is convenient and informative enough. A problem of monitoring a driver's state by controlling his heart rate is actual because this parameter is simple to register. But a threshold of drowsiness can vary for different people. So, it is necessary to control some additional parameters. Research of how parameters of heart rate variability (LF/HF and index of stress of Bayevsky) change in time depending on a state person (during wakefulness, drowsiness and stress) has been carried out. The results showed that there are certain intervals of values characterizing each kind of state. To sum up, it's suggested to use the analysis of three ECG parameters (HR, LF/HF and index of stress of Bayevsky) in drivers' drowsiness detecting systems. Using a GPRS data transmission system allows to realize processing and storage of ECG information on a powerful server. © 2015 IEEE. Source

In this paper the experimental results of a heat transfer and pressure drop in annular channels with continuous twisting on length at one-phase water flow are presented. For a flow twisting the wire was spirally coiled on the central body of an annular channel (diameter of a wire is equal to annular gap height). The generalizing associations for heat transfer calculation on the concave and convex surfaces at single-phase flow are presented. The heat transfer on a convex surface of an annular channel with a twisting is considerably more than the heat transfer on a concave surface. The design procedure of the friction factor for definition of pressure drop in annular channels with a continuous twisting on length is offered. © 2013 by Begell House, Inc. Source
