This paper analyzes two kinds of communication transmission modes for sample measure value (SMV) at the process level of digital substation, namely the point-to-point IEC 61850-9-1 mode and web-based IEC 61850-9-2 mode. The scheme for communication of SMV and GOOSE information in one network is proposed, and its feasibility is analyzed from the technical aspect. The main data types in the mode of communication in one network such as SMV, GOOSE, and PTP1588 are analyzed, and each net data traffic as well as possible communication delay factors including store-and-forward delay, switching delay, line delay and frame queuing delay is analyzed quantitatively. Combining with a practical project in a digital substation, the simulation and application analysis of the proposed technique scheme are conducted, and the results show that the scheme of communication in one network is feasible, and it has reference value for the study of net performance at the process level of digital substation. The basic concept of data mining is introduced. Seven design principles are adopted in the development of fault information management and analysis system based on data mining technology for relay protection devices: prospective design, staged implementation, intelligent information processing, etc. The multi-level module design divides the system structure into three layers: application performance, business processing and data. The functional modules of system are analyzed, and the basic and advanced functions meeting the requirements of grid for safe operation are described.
