The increasing penetration of intermittent wind power affects the secure operation of power systems and leads to a requirement of robust and economic generation scheduling. This paper presents an optimal day–ahead wind–thermal generation scheduling method that considers the statistical and predicted features of wind speeds. In this method, the statistical analysis of historical wind data, which represents the local wind regime, is first implemented. Then, according to the statistical results and the predicted wind power, the spinning reserve requirements for the scheduling period are calculated. Based on the calculated spinning reserve requirements, the wind–thermal generation scheduling is finally conducted. To validate the program, a verified study is performed on a test system. Then, numerical studies to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method are conducted. © 2017 Elsevier Ltd

This paper mainly considers the application of the ant colony in our life. The principle of ant colony optimization, improves the performance of ant colony algorithm, and the global searching ability of the algorithm. We introduce a new adaptive factor in order to avoid falling into local optimal solution. With the increase the number of interations, this factor will benefit the ant search the edge with lower pheromone concentration and avoid the excessive accumulation of pheromone. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Mobile learning is the latest development of online education, and mobile phones are regarded as the most promising mobile learning terminal equipment and the mobile learning resources for mobile phones have begun to emerge. Reasonable and effective interaction is very important in the learning process, especially the interaction between students and learning resources; however, the mobile terminal performance of different media formats, scripts, and interactive content, limited support, making the learning resource interactive activities designed to become the mobile phone successfully applied the key to mobile learning. In this paper, the practice of project development needs, from learning resource micro-content, learning content interaction and human-machine interface layout, multiple levels of design strategies and methods, and examples of mobile learning resource interaction design. © 2012 IEEE.

In this paper, a new lattice Boltzmann model for the ion-acoustic solitary waves in plasma is proposed. By using the Chapman-Enskog expansion and the multi-scale time expansion, a series of partial differential equations in different time scales are obtained. By selecting the appropriate moments of the equilibrium distribution functions, the macroscopic equations are recovered. In numerical examples, we simulate the propagation of the ion-acoustic solitary waves. Numerical results show that the lattice Boltzmann method is an effective tool for the study of the ion-acoustic solitary waves in plasma. © 2015 COSPAR. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
