Salidroside is one of the main components of Rhodiola with mianfold pharmacological effects. In this article, pharmacological effects of salidroside, including antitumor, and enhancement of immune, cardiovascular system, central nervous system, liver and kidney were reviewed to provide references for the further exploitation and utilization of salidroside.

This article introduces in detail the three components of video monitoring system of coal, by means of the target tracking technology and the effective integration of the license plate recognition technology, combined with the rotation of the PTZ function. At the same time, it realizes the clearer target image from different angles of scanning, improves the accuracy and rapidity of system identification; it is realistic and has a significant role in the reasonable exploitation and utilization of coal resources. © 2015 Taylor & Francis Group, London.

This paper carries out the analysis and comparison from the multiangle of flow characteristics, the complexity of modeling, prediction accuracy, and the application scenarios, and selects the flow control devices in the network bandwidth management to promote active, efficient, and intelligent bandwidth management services. Based on the log the flow control device generates, this paper summarizes the rules of campus network traffic and takes measures to control the assignment of the flow, so as to enhance the utilization ratio of the network. The results show that this method is simple and has better performance to meet the demand of real-time control of campus network traffic. © 2014 WIT Press.

The current study evaluated the glucoselowering effect of ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides (GlPS) in streptozotocin (STZ)induced diabetic mice. The diabetic mice were randomly divided into four groups (8 mice per group): diabetic control group, lowdose GlPS treated group (50 mg/kg, GlPS), highdose GlPS treated group (150 mg/kg, GlPS) and positive drug control treated group (glibenclamide, 4 mg/kg), with normal mice used as the control group. Body weights, fasting blood glucose (FBG), serum insulin and blood lipid levels of mice were measured. After 28 days of treatment with GlPS, body weights and serum insulin levels of the GlPS treated groups was significantly higher than that of the diabetic control group, whereas FBG levels was significantly lower. Moreover, total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLC) levels of the GlPS treated groups had dropped, whereas the high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDLC) levels had increased. In addition, according to acute toxicity studies, GlPS did not cause behavioral changes and any death of mice. These data suggest that GlPS has an antihyperglycemic effect. Furthermore, considering the GlPS effects on lipid profile, it may be a potential hypolipidaemic agent, which will be a great advantage in treating diabetic conditions associated with atherosclerosis or hyperlipidemia. © 2011 by the authors; licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland.

The network performance index of the digital campus is the foundation of digital campus network evaluation. This paper makes a comprehensive analysis of performance index of the digital campus network from a different point of view of digital campus network evaluation and puts forward an index system of digital campus systems to reflect the performance of the network. On the basis of it, the author introduces the concept of generalization and deterministic indexes and discusses the content and the frame of deterministic index. © 2014 WIT Press.
