The existence of solution of boundary value problems for a class of second order functional differential equation on the infinite interval is studied. Schauder fixed point theorem and condensing mapping theory are applied to these problems. Some existence and uniqueness results are obtained which is the improvement of the result in previons papers.

This paper investigates the tracking control of a wheeled mobile robot in the unknown environment. A disturbance observer is developed with utilization the integral filter. The proposed control scheme employs the disturbance observer control approach to design an auxiliary wheel velocity controller to make the tracking errors, which includes the velocity tracking error, the angular velocity tracking and the trajectory tracking error vector, as small as possible in consideration of unknown bounded disturbance in the kinematics of the mobile robot, and makes use of the disturbance controller to reject the unknown bounded disturbance. The approximation errors and the unknown bounded disturbance can be efficiently rejected by employing the integral filter. A major advantage of the proposed methods is that the position (or velocity/angular velocity) and the desired trajectory (or velocity/angular velocity) are no longer necessary. This is because the observer controller "tracking" both the mobile kinematics and the unknown bounded disturbance. Most importantly, all signals in the closed-loop system can be assured to be uniformly ultimately bounded. The system stability and convergence of the motion control and the trajectory tracking errors are proved using the Lyapunov stability theory. Simulation results are provided to verify the proposed control strategy. It is shown that the control strategy is feasible.

Based on the rapid genetic algorithm (RGA), the band gap structures of square lattices with square scatters are optimized. In the optimizing process, gene codes are used to express square scatters and the fitting function adopts the relative values of the largest absolute photonic band gaps (PBGs). By changing the value of filling factor, three cell forms with large photonic band gaps are obtained. In addition, the comparison between the rapid genetic algorithm and the general genetic algorithm (GGA) is analyzed. © Tianjin University of Technology and Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2011.

300 samples from 21 organizations in Meizhou were surveyed through questionnaire investigation (Effective ones are 208, accounting for 69.33%) .The research carried on reliability analysis and validity analyses using the SPSS software. This research also executed regression analysis on the independent variable indexes and the extracted performance indexes. The result shows, strategic human resource management innovation-oriented is positively correlated with enterprise's both financial performance and non-financial performance. ©2010 IEEE.

Profit is usually listed the first visual angle of management. What the so-called 'management desire' refers to should be a kind of thirst for power. At the same time, a harmonious idea penetrates in each part of management. Management pursues effect that 1+1> 2, as implies a kind of interactive angle of view. Economy is unavoidably necessary as a reference system when decomposing management from profit perspective. Entering the commercial domain, power appears by forms of corporate politics and market politics. The so-called 'construction of harmonious society' more selects society as the referring standard. The self-concept is a management phenomenon contradictory with interaction. To deal with it requires taking the entire or the larger system as reference, namely systematic view. Therefore, point of this article is: management can be researched from four different visual angles of profit, authority, harmony & interaction; the relative reference systems are economy, politics, society and system. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
