The implementation of grid computation for on-line evaluation of total transfer capability of Jiangxi power system is presented. Based on the computation environment of local area network (LAN)/wide area network (WAN) and by means of heterogeneous task scheduling strategy, the computation capability of each computing node is brought into play up to the hilt, and through the time out preemption computation strategy the overall performance of the evaluation system can be optimized and improved. Through the fault-tolerance mechanism in subtask level, the instable computing nodes in the system are effectively discriminated and dealt with to ensure the normal operation of the evaluation system. By means of adopting commercial dynamic security assessment software package, the correctness of calculation results is ensured. This on-line evaluation system possesses good adaptive dynamic extensibility and the addition and deletion of computing nodes need not manual intervention.

Power system state estimation is the core and basic module of energy management system (EMS), however when bad leverage measurement or inconsistent data exist in the measuring system, traditional weighted least square estimation with bad data identification cannot get rid of the influence of bad data on state estimation. For this reason, a robust power system state estimation model based on maximum exponential square, which can automatically eliminate the influence of bad data on state estimation, is proposed. Theoretical basis and mathematical characters of the proposed model are analyzed, and the method of applying the proposed model and results of applying the model in Jiangxi power system are given. Application effects show that the proposed model can improve the accuracy of power system state estimation notably, and it can be ensured to satisfy zero-injection constraints strictly.
