The status quo of common information platform construction in dispatch center is considered synthetically and its data access service architecture is presented, which is composed of the adapter layer and the data service layer. The models of different types, such as the models stored in the heterogeneous relational databases, XML models, the models accessible via CIS interface, are integrated into the modeling environment of communal information platform at the adapter layer, which carries out the semantic transformation. Different CIM versions are compatible. The data service layer provides the CIS services conforming to semantic standards and IEC61970 and the message services conforming to IEC61968. The design concept, configuration and features of the components of adapter layer, such as universal database access, XML file access, CIS interface access and semantic transformation, are discussed in detail. The system with the proposed service architecture has excellent operational effect.

The control center in smart grids requires the collaboration among different specialized groups to ensure the safety, reliability, greenness and efficiency of power system. However, each specialized group is interested in different aspects of the network model. In order to improve the teamwork and timeliness, the fundamental models should be managed in a unified way. This paper summarizes the requirements for data management of fundamental models, presents a concept of three-mode models, and designs the architecture of generic model access services. With the generic model access services, the differences of real-world model databases will be shielded, and the future virtual model can be managed as versions. The upper applications can obtain the fundamental model information through the data broker component and business model data through the business data organizing component. © 2011 IEEE.

As the main obstacle to application integration is inadequate interoperability of itself, both the upgrade of common information model (CIM) version and different descriptive languages will result in the loss of interoperability. The interoperability levels of CIM data are analyzed, and based on metadata interoperability, an adaptive decoding and translation method applicable to any model description schema or text descriptive language is proposed. Furthermore, a SMARTCIM platform that can provide unified data I/O interface for multi-data sources and multi-application systems is designed, which is used as a decoupling and buffering platform between data and applications. The practicability and efficiency of the SMARTCIM are proved in the project of the integrated data platform in the Central Control Center of Jiangxi Extra-High Voltage Sub-company. © 2011 State Grid Electric Power Research Institute Press.

Because of the importance of transmission line parameters and the complexity of factors influencing the parameters, the parameters, especially zero-sequence parameters should be practically measured. The distribution characteristics of the transmission lines are analyzed to get the lumped parameters model. Based on the increment method to measure the zero-sequence parameters, an improved algorithm is proposed to revise the parameter measurement by using the capacitive current component. The compensation foundation is established and formula of compensation degree symbolized with η is also given. Theoretical analysis shows that the compensation algorithm can improve the measurement accuracy. Finally, the simulation model of a high voltage transmission line with mutual inductance is developed in PSCAD to validate this new algorithm with the chosen compensation degree for improvement of the measurement accuracy. © 2010 State Grid Electric Power Research Institute Press.

The distributed optical fiber Raman sensor system was widely used for real-time measurement temperature, but the Anti-Stokes and Stokes scattering Raman signal is very weak. In order to improve measurement accuracy the signal must be denoised before obtaining the temperature. In this paper, a new noise cancellation of empirical mode decomposition is proposed for enhancing signal-to-noise ration of the Anti-Stokes and Stokes scattering Raman signal. The signal-to-noise ratio was enhanced by using this method and it is easy to be realized in computer. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

With regard to the slow-convergence disadvantage in the latter generations of GA, ACO is combined with GA in this paper to solve the optimal load allocation problem among thermal power plant units.
