The parameters of silicon solar cell, such as series resistance, shunt resistance and so on, are important to design and evaluate solar cells. To extract the five parameters of solar cell simultaneously and quickly, a novel method is proposed by introducing the Lambert-W function to transform the implicit function of silicon solar cell under illumination into an explicit expression, and the I-V curves of solar cell can be fitted by using the nonlinear least square algorithm. The results indicate that the accurate results can be obtained quickly, and less expensive equipments are needed in this method, except for an I-V tester. So this method will be a powerful tool to extract and analyse the parameters of solar cells.
