Natural gas is the energy source that is commonly used today. The high of energy requirement triggers the natural gas processing industry to increase its production by opening new fields. Natural gas is classified as sweet gas if CO2 and H2S contents are less or equal to 2% and 4 ppm, respectively. Therefore in this study, the optimization have been performed and focused at amine regenerator because of had a great impact to CO2 capture or gas sweetening process. Amine column regeneration was modeled using neural network MultiLayer Perceptron (MLP) with Nonlinear Auto Regressive with eXternal input (NARX) structure and learning algorithm using Levenberg-Marquardt. In this system, CO2 removal ratio is influenced by operating variables such as the concentration of feed column regeneration, temperature condenser, and temperature at bottom regenerator, which is in-Turn determined by reboiler duty in the amine regenerator. The process has been optimized using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for obtaining CO2 mole fraction in the lean amine and the energy load in reboiler and condenser are minimized. © 2016 IEEE.

The main objective of this research is to investigate the effectiveness of Myrmecodia Pendans (MP) wood extract as Eco friendly Corrosion Inhibitor on corrosion of material API 5L Grade B in 3,5% NaCl solution using potentiodynamic polarization curve, Gas Chromatography- Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) and Electrochemical Impedance spectroscopy (EIS). MP usually called as "sarang semut" in Indonesia. We analyzed MP in different concentration of extract. By 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500 ppm. The experiment was started by extraction of the MP. According to the polarization potensiodynamic data, the rate corrosion could be decrease about 90,36% by concentration 500 ppm. In accordance with the data of the EIS, the same concentration of inhibitor produced 92.3% with charge transfer resistance of 595.6 Ω.cm2. It means MP extract could serve as an effective inhibitor for the corrosion. This is consistent with the initial hypothesis that MP contains antioxidant compounds that can inhibit oxidation thereby reducing the corrosion rate. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

The presence of informal and redundant definitions of basic concepts of computing / programming prohibits the advances of software engineering. This problem is not addressed by all literatures of software engineering about formal methods. A paper by the present authors have provided partial solution by establishing Type and Object as two (out of four) disjoint basic concepts of computing and programming. This paper proposes the remaining two of the four basic concepts. With the substitution test, this paper shows that informality and redundancy of concepts in the widely referenced publications have led to another problem: the circularity of concept. Our proposed concepts have the opposite properties: formal, unique, and non-circular. The definitions are independent toward programming paradigms. The solution requires the formal definition for expression and operand, a semi-formal definition for statement; and the removal of synonyms like invoke, invocation, parameter and argument. Current standard of software engineering has five synonyms for operation, two synonyms for value, and two synonyms for operand. This paper proposes unique terms, proposes semi-formal and formal definitions for two basic concepts: operation and value. Software engineering has not reached maturity level as classic engineering. Theoretical foundation for software engineering lacks the precision and universal agreement of terms. By contrast, classic engineering are founded on the seven base dimensions that are precise and universally agreed. This paper aims to bring software engineering into maturity, in terms of the precision of terms by establishing and mathematically defining two basic concepts: type and object. Just like the seven base dimensions in physics be part of theoretical foundation for classic engineering, the two basic concepts type and object are the theoretical foundation for software engineering. This paper lists twelve problems with current definitions of type and object. The proposed definition and concepts are linguistically tested and mathematically formulated using thirty five formulas. Each concept - type, object - is unique and has single interpretation. This paper shows that class is a derived concept - not a basic concept - and that class can be defined on the proposed disjoint basic concepts: type and object.

VANETS are a sub area of MANETS (is Mobile Ad hoc Networks that can configure itself without wires) where the dynamic ad hoc network is composed of vehicles as nodes. Vehicles utilizing wireless communication capabilities are termed as "computers networks on wheels" having data sharing capabilities. Vehicles can obtain either information from Road side base station or rely upon other vehicles for information to provide road safety travelers comfort. This paper presents various aspects of VANET to help researchers to understand and distinguish its Architecture, Characteristics, Challenges and Applications from MANETS in one solid document and show that active research efforts are made to make VANET. © 2015 IEEE.

Chaos and voltage collapse exist in power systems due to critical loading and disturbing of energy (DE). These phenomena cause instability in power system operation and must be avoided. In this paper, an ANFIS-based composite controller-static var compensator (CC-SVC) was proposed to control both chaotic oscillations and voltage collapse. The ANFIS-based CC-SVC was proposed because its computation was more efficient than Mamdani fuzzy logic controller. Adaptive network parameters were obtained through a training process. The controller parameters were automatically updated by off-line training. Both chaos and voltage collapse were able to control and suppress effectively by the proposed method. Furthermore, the load voltage was held to a set value by adjusting the supplied reactive power. When the reactive load was increased, the SVC susceptance and reactive power supplied by the SVC also increased. The proposed method was able to maintain the load voltage and to increase the loading margin. © 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

The visual surveillance systems are becoming heavier day by day in terms of number of cameras to manage. It poses a challenge to manage such systems provided that most of these systems are still managed manually. To save cost and to increase reliability in response critical applications, the shift of visual surveillance is towards cloud-based solutions. This paper proposes a framework for implementation of a cloud-based visual surveillance system for human activity recognition. System works in both ways; either video captured by CCTV camera can be live-streamed to cloud in real time or stored videos can be sent to cloud for video content analysis (VCA). The paper advocates some of the improvements in practices and laws pertaining to cloud in order to make its applications widespread. © 2014 IEEE.
