This paper proposes the use of Haar wavelet transform analysis for the detection of deterioration, corrosion related damage, fatigue damages in the industrial environment. Also explores the time domain analysis over the various rotational speeds of the bearings with defects and defect free bearings. The data acquired in the real-time environment is analyzed using the available tools in the time domain and Haar wavelet transform methods. Exploiting the merit of wavelet analysis and its ability to diagnose the damage, contamination between the outer and inner raceway of the bearing. Bearing with contamination, hole in the outer race, with balls having uneven size at various spindle rotation is acquired and offline analysis is carried out using the system developed for analysis of the data. The bearing vibration data is presented in the time domain as well as in the wavelet transformed time domain. © Research India Publications. Source
