The effect of ECF bleaching effluent recycling(using P-stage filtrate to wash D-stage pulp) on the pollution load and pulp properties was studied. The results showed that, by recycling P-stage filtrate, the bleached pulp whiteness increased by 1~2 perceatage, while viscosity decreased slightly; CODCr decreased by 0~2.5 kg/t bleached pulp and BOD5 decreased by 2.1~2.9 kg/t bleached pulp, while AOX decreased by 17%~20%. and effluent amount reduced by 30%.

The characteristics of electron beam curing direct metallization and the technology requirements of cigarette board manufacture were briefly introduced. The technology and process of cigarette board were researched and improved. The effects of moisture, smoothness and folding endurance of cigarette board on electron beam curing direct metallization were analysed. The cigarette board developed was suited to electron beam curing direct metallization.
