Six new amine activators of CO2 absorption in aq. soln. of K2CO3 were synthesized and tested in a laminar jet absorber at 20-40°C under lab. conditions. The highest coeffs. of mass transfer (2.5 times higher than for NH(CH2CH2OH) 2 were detd. when MeNHCH2CH2OH was used as activator.

Four amine activators were used for acceleration of the CO2 absorption In aq. K2CO3 solns. in a lab. bubble reactor at 30-80°C under 4 bar to det. the absorption kinetics. A dimentionless enhancement factor was calcd. NH2(CH2CH2NH)4H and MeNHCH2CH2OH were the best activator of absorption.

Six com. anticaking agents were added in aq. solns. to MgSO 4·7H2O and Mg(NO3)2· 6H2O crystals at 40°C. After removal of H2O by evapn., the salts were thermostated under pressure and changing temp. (20-40°C) for 24 h as cones. The disintegrating force was the measure of the caking ability. The org. sulfonates and amines were the most efficient anticaking agents.
