A nanocomposite material with antimicrobial properties, based on cellulose packed with a mineral filler (zeolite) exchanged with silver, characterised in that the mineral filler is made up of Y-type zeolites, while silver occurs in a form bound with the zeolite matrix in the form of cations and, optionally, nanoparticles of reduced silver, as well as a method for preparation of such a material and its application for the wrapping of plants, works of art, archives and antique objects, as well as food, pharmaceuticals and animal fodder.

H form of H-ZSM-5 zeolite was prepd. and used for MeOH dehydration to Me 2O at 403-483 K. Parameters of the Langmuir-Hinshelwood kinetic equation of the reaction were detd. The effect of water on the catalyst activity and Me 2O yield was negligible.

Succinic acid was esterified with cyciohexanoi in presence of Ti(OBu) 4 at 120-170°C and alc./acid ratio 3:1 to 10:1 to resp. mono- and diesters. The monoester formation was a 2nd order reaction with respect to acid and ale. while the diester formation depended only on the monoester concn. When the process was carried out without any addn. of the catalyst, the monoester formation was a 2nd order reaction with respect to acid, while the diester formation depended only on monoester concn. The resp. kinetic equations were derived.

Methods for non-catalytic combustion of ventilation air MeH from coal mine shafts in thermal flow reversal reactors were presented. A demonstration reactor was operated autothermally for MeH concns. higher than 0.2% by vol. and, moreover, with substantial heat recovery at above 0.4% by vol. The MeH concn. approaching 1% by vol., the heat recovery of at least 5 MW for every 100 000 m3/h of ventilation air was achieved. A math, model of the process was validated by comparison of exptl. and simulated data.


Phthalic anhydride was esterifled with n-heptyl, n-nonyl and n-undecyl aics. in presence of H 2SO 2 H 3PW 12O 40·XH 2O or TiBu 4 cataiysts (0.05-0.25% by mass) at 413 K to 453 K to det. the reaction Idnetics. The 1 st order reaction (except for TiBu 4) was found. The TiBu 4 showed the iowest cataiytic activity but the highest activation energy (149,2 kJ/mole).

Expt. data on CO 2 absorption In aq. solns. of NH 2CH 2CH 2OH and NH(CH 2CH 2OH) 2 In wetted-wall and packed columns (K. Warmuziński, J. Buzek and J. Podkański, 1995) were used for quant. anal. of the cellular comection effects. The effects resulted in an enhancement of the absorption rate. A method for estimation of the effects was deweloped.


Ca oxalate was pptd. from aq. solns. of CaCI 2and Na oxalate by micromixing of the reactant streams in the two-perpendicular-jets distributor. The strems continuously collided with each other at 23.5°C, pH 6.5 and ionic strength of solns. 0.2 mol/L Velocity of the streams were 2.78-11.11 m/s and reagent concns. 0.003-0.05 mol/L. Both immersed and unimmersed configurations of distributors with varying widths of nozzles (0.5 and 1 mm) and horizontal inter-nozzle distances (0, 1.3 and 1.8 mm) were used. The size distributions and hydratation degree of crystals were analyzed. The monodisperse microcrystals of desired form (Ca oxalate dihydrate) and size (1-10 μm) rea̧uired for inhalation delivery systems were produced.


Water gas shlft reaction in a membrane tube-in-tube reactor (4 cm Inner tube diam., 5.6 cm shell diam., 1.2-3 m length) with simuitaneous H2 recovering at the shell side was numerically simulated. Final conversion of CO exceeded 90% and H2 recovery reached 35% w hen the Pd membrane with the H2 permeability 5.7·10-5 mol/(m 2·s·Pan) was used. An increase in H 2 permeability up to 4.2·10-3 mol/(m 2·s·Pan) was necessary to increase the H2 recovery up to above 96%.


Cr and/or Ce were added as dopants to Cu-Zn-Zr and Cu-Zn-Zr-Ga oxide catalysts used for steam reforming of MeOH. The Cr and Cr-Cu-doped catalysts showed an increasing activity even at low temp. (433-473 K).
