Member States of the european Union have adopted energy policy, with directions of energy development until 2030. New strategies have integrated different political targets, among others greenhouse gases reduction, energy supply security, support of economy development, competition and creation of jobs. In particular, energy policy described directions of development and action plans shall guarantee investment security in long perspective. Long-Term and stable policy and adopted based on that particular regulations are guarantee of development in energy sector. However targets of energy policy until 2030 are challenging for energy sector. Nowadays, revision of particular the eU Directives has taking place and too in result of new rules adoption and implementation to national legislation in further step lead to 2030 target achievement. The article presents a review of energy policy of the european Union until 2030 and assessment of this new policy impact on energy enterprises activities in Poland is depicted.


The article concerns the structure and prospects of power generation sector as a part of the National electric Power System. The current state and prospects of development of electricity generation sub-sector were discussed. The main problems and issues related to the location of new energy sources were identified. The issue of the needs and opportunities of power duo blocks in the process of revitalization and optimization of the type of generation sources in the Polish power system was mentioned. Also the possibility of applying this kind of technology in changing the shape of the Polish power generation sector was taken into account.

The subject of the article is the surface resistivity of pressboard immersed in mineral oil or synthetic ester. The changes of surface resistivity depend on the direction of water migration. The consequence of water migration from the cellulose into a liquid is the increase of the resistivity, while the migration of water from the liquid into the cellulose results in the decrease of the resistivity. Pressboard impregnated with mineral oil transferred to synthetic ester shows a sharp rise in resistivity, which is very beneficial, but requires clarification and further research. © 2016, Wydawnictwo SIGMA - N O T Sp. z o.o. The article presents issues related to the assessment of the dynamics of exchange of mineral oil to synthetic ester in cellulose insulation, and the problem of moisture evaluating of cellulose insulation filled with a mixture of mineral oil with synthetic ester. The research shows that the process of replacing mineral oil to synthetic ester is long, and the evaluation of moisture using FDS method based on patterns of cellulose-mineral oil results in an underestimation. © 2016, Wydawnictwo SIGMA - N O T Sp. z o.o. The theme of the article are partial discharges on surface of pressboard immersed in mineral oil or synthetic ester. These are some of the most dangerous discharges. Partial discharges of surface type and sliding type were tested. It has been found that the partial discharges on the surface of the pressboard immersed in a synthetic ester have a slightly higher intensity than immersed in mineral oil. © 2016, Wydawnictwo SIGMA - N O T Sp. z o.o. Annual statistics concerning road accidents indicate the social issue (number of people killed in accidents) as well as economic issue (financial loss). This article deals with the impact of switching on the passing lights and the colour of the vehicle on the range of visibility. The research data presented in this article are to provoke the discussion whether it is arguable to use the passing lights during the day instead of day lights.

The paper deals with the computation of distribution network components reliability parameters. Knowledge of the component reliability parameters in power networks is necessary for the reliability computation and also for reliability-centered maintenance system. Component reliability parameters are possible to retrieve only with accurate databases of distribution companies. Such a database includes records of outages and interruptions in power networks. It is impossible to retrieve reliability parameters from this data in a direct way because of heterogeneity. In this paper, we introduce some results of databases calculations. We apply this framework for the retrieving of parameters from outage data in the Czech and Slovak republics. There are also actual results.


The article presents the idea of the technical (patent application) solution permitting the recovery of the waste-heat from household equipment as washing machines, dishwashers, leading to the electric energy saving on level approx. 3% in relation to of each customer. Introduced also analyses of the influence of this type of the solution on the function of the network and connected with this the change of the level of losses in distributive networks. Described analyses indicate the legitimacy of initiating of this type of devices to the modern equipment new-constructed apartment buildings.

This paper presents the tests results of a few devices used in the power industry with the disturbance recorder and time synchronization functions, conducted in order to determine their application in a distributed recording system allowing comprehensive analysis of substation automation systems. The test results also show the applicability of such devices to perform distributed recording system of selected analog current and voltage signals supplying a specific set of electrical loads. Such a system allows under real-world conditions to collect the data needed to perform the verification of algorithms that identify the type of the load device running as one of the many supplied from a common source voltage. Tests were performed for a number of protection devices: L90 General Electric and MiCOM P443 Schneider Electric and disturbance recorder BEN5000 Qualitrol company. Forecasting methods used up to now in case of very short-term prediction of power generated in wind plants and photovoltaic plants have been first characterized in the paper. Then concept of the system using fuzzy logic for very short-term forecasting of power generated in renewable energy sources has been described. At the end of the paper summary of the described issues and directions for further scientific works in the considered subject range have been presented.
