This paper presents the construction and operation principles for the electromagnetic mill. Basic processes taking place while drying of particulate matter were discussed, followed by a review of modern and innovative moisture reduction techniques and a demonstration of currently operating installations worldwide. A comparison of advantages and disadvantages was made for different drying methods and an alternative to those methods was proposed in a form of an electromagnetic mill. A viewpoint installation design for simultaneous drying and grinding was presented with the application of an electromagnetic mill.
