The paper presents the problem of connecting generating units to the MV power lines as an optimization problem. Optimization problems occurring in the case of distributed generation in medium voltage distribution networks have been classified. The problem of optimal location of a wind turbine in the existing power line, in which the objective function is active power losses in the network infrastructure (expected to be the minimum value) is considered. The choice of the relevant physical quantities occurring in the set of constraints is discussed.

The possibility of decomposition of dynamic mathematical models of power systems for real-time digital simulators, in aspect of calculation accuracy is analysed in this paper. A problem of obtaining adequate calculation occurs in analysis of power systems containing elements characterized by a small time constants (large values of roots of the characteristic equation) compared with most other elements. Then use a relatively simple (fast calculation in the real-time aspect) algorithms for integration of differential equations leads to very large errors, rendering the usefulness of the results. It was shown that the use of decomposition, at the stage of development of mathematical models for parallel computing applications, allows for efficient selection algorithm integration of differential equations (more complex) for these elements of the system with small time constants. For the remaining elements of a simple algorithm is used. Results of research an example of the power system are presented in this paper.

The paper presents actual situation on photovoltaic cells market in Poland and over the World from the point of view of economy and ecology. The focus is on the present trends in installations comprised of inorganic and organic photovoltaic cells. Present and future possibilities in application of both solar cells types was presented. A compact review of new material opportunities in development of organic photovoltaic cells was presented. The results of measurements of solar cells based on the polymers from the polyazomethines family was analyzed.
