When using the rational function model for the geometric orientation and geopositioning of satellite imagery, systematic bias compensation for vendor-provided rational polynomial coefficients (RPCs) is very important. Most existing bias-compensation models express systematic biases as a function of certain deterministic parameters, and least squares adjustment is used for estimating correction parameters. In this paper, the errors-in-variables model is introduced to take random errors in both the observation vector and the design matrix into consideration, based on a weighted total least squares adjustment. Experiments performed with two datasets demonstrate that the proposed method is reliable and the geopositioning accuracy improvement is better compared with a traditional least squares adjustment. © 2017 The Authors. In this paper, a method for selecting and testing the features of thermal infrared (TIR) remote sensing images of oil tank targets is proposed to address deficiencies in the recognition of TIR images due to their characteristic low contrast, striping noise, and low spatial resolution. An evaluator was used to select 22 out of 29 features including texture and geometry, and training was conducted for samples with respect to these features through the libSVM (a support vector machine). This could lead to an effective detection of quasi-circular oil tank targets with a certain degree of robustness. The one-dimensional statistical features (pixel value, mean value, variance, mid-value, and gray level histogram), LBP features, EOH features and invariant moment features are more meaningful for the recognition of TIR remote sensing images of oil tank targets; the proper selection of training samples of oil tank with background is quite important for the effectiveness of detection; difference in detection windows can also influence the effect of detection. A method for selecting and testing the features of oil tank targets in TIR remote sensing images is proposed for effective classification of such targets under certain conditions. © 2017 SPIE.

For non-metric CCD digital camera features and the needs of Rapid field non-metric cameras calibration, the error sources was detailed analyzed and a mathematical calibration model has been founded. Both detailed multi-image group iterative method for solving DLT coefficient, the elements of interior orientation and distortion parameters of lens and the multi-image resection method for solving the elements of interior orientation, elements of exterior orientation and distortion parameters of lens have been discussed. A standard steel cage (e.g. Figure 1) has been made for real calibrating non-metric cameras outdoor quickly. In order to verify the accuracy, each method mentioned has been used to solve elements of interior orientation and distortion parameters with the same camera (e.g. Figure 2) and the same test images. The results of accuracy show that the maximum X error was 0.2585mm, the maximum Y error was 0.6719mm and the maximum Z error was 0.1319mm by using multi-image DLT algorithm. On the other hand, the maximum X error was 0.1914mm, the maximum Y error was 0.9808mm and the maximum Z error was 0.1453mm by using multi-image resection algorithm. The forward intersection accuracy of the two methods was quite, and the both were less than 1mm. By using multi-image DLT algorithm the planimetric accuracy was less than 0.2585mm and the height accuracy was less than 0.6719mm. On the other hand, by using multi-image resection algorithm the planimetric accuracy was less than 0.1914mm and the height accuracy was less than 0.9808mm. The planimetric accuracy of resection algorithm was the better than DLT algorithm, but the elevation accuracy of DLT algorithm was the better than resection algorithm. In summary both method can be accepted for nonmetric camera calibration. But also the solver accuracy in the inner orientation elements and distortion parameters was not very high has been noted. However for non-metric camera, the true value of inner orientation elements and lens distortion were unknown did not affect the accuracy of photogrammetry.

In this notes, the design problem of non-fragile controller for a class of nonlinear neutral delay system is investaged. The nonlinear parts are assumed to satisfy the bounded condition, and the controller is additive gain variation. The aim is to design a state feedback non-fragile controller such that, for all nonlinear disturbances, the closed-loop system remains asymptotically stable and cost function value is not more than a specified upper bound. A criterion for the existence of such controller is derived based-on the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach combined with the Lyapunov method. A parameterized characterization of guaranteed cost controllers is given in terms of the feasible solutions to the certain LMI. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the application of the proposed design approach. © 2011 IEEE.

Due to the significantly effect of clouds in the near-earth space environment to remote sensing satellite images, some satellite images can not be utilized normally, resulting in large limitation of their application fields. For the background suppressed haze thickness index (BSHTI) and improvement background suppressed haze thickness index (IBSHTI) have the characteristics of thoroughly cloud correction and badly deficiency of the tone and texture information, we propose to first adopt IBSHTI to calculate the cloud thickness image of different bands, then the dark-pixel images are obtained by down sampling, and the texture is eliminated by introducing Texture and edge information (TEI). Experiment results show that our method can well retain the ground tone and texture information while removing the effect of clouds, especially in urban areas.

An algorithm of single-epoch integer ambiguity resolution for reference stations of BDS triple-frequency network RTK is proposed in this paper. The mathematic models, resolution process, and result analyses are given in detail. The main idea of this method is to resolve extra-wide-lane and wide-lane ambiguity by using the method of TCAR, determine the ambiguity candidates by linear relation between triple-frequencies ambiguities, and finally, determine the ambiguities depending on residual of nondispersive error. This algorithm was tested, and the advantages of this method are rapid and stable. The double difference integer ambiguity between long-scale BDS reference stations can be fixed at single epoch. © Springer Science+Business Media Singapore 2016.

This document took the long sequence of IGS ionospheric VTEC (vertical total electron content unit) products as original data, based on the theory research of various abnormally detection methods, we could select the optimal method to process VTEC products, combined with earthquake cases of which the magnitude greater than Ms5.0 in global range from 2003 to the present. According to the principle of mathematical statistics, we found the relationship between the abnormal of ionosphere and the factors of earthquakes. Through calculating the correlation coefficient and the single factor variance analysis between earthquake factors and the ionosphere anomalies, we not only confirmed that the earthquake has an effect on ionosphere anomalies, but also proved the conclusion that the magnitude has the positive correlation with the positive ionosphere anomalies, and under the condition of single factor analysis, we confirmed that the magnitude made a significant impact on the ionosphere anomalies before the earthquake happened. © Springer Science+Business Media Singapore 2016.

This paper develops a new cycle slip detection and repair method that is based on polynomial-fitting ionosphere-free combination and ionosphere total electron contents (TEC) rate (TECR), and uses dual-frequency GNSS data to present the mathematical model of the two method. It proves that the new algorithm can detect and repair the cycle slips with a very high level of success by the experiments with 1 Hz or even higher rate data, especially the method of TECR. In addition, the combination of the two methods can detect and repair their insensitive cycle slips effectively. Because the new method only use carrier phase, it can not only detect the cycle slips effectively, but also repair them reliably. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2015.

First, the application mode of CORS in seismic studies is discussed. Then, based on eight Guangdong CORS stations, the stability analysis of Guangdong CORS Frame after Dong Yuan continuous seism wave are given. Finally, Some ideas on deformation monitoring net construction are put forward to realize effective monitoring and reference datum maintenance in earthquake area, with gradually adaptive reference from working basic point, base point to CORS stations.
