This study presents information about twenty pteromalid species distributed in mountain habitats. Nineteen of them are new to Vitosha Mountain. Sixteen species are new for Bulgarian fauna and eight are new for Balkan Peninsula. A new host for Mesopolobus sericeus (Forster, 1770) was established - Andricus mitratus (Cynipidae). One species - Coelopisthia caledonica Askew, 1980 was recorded for first time from South-Eastern Europe and together with Pteromalus temporalis (Graham, 1969) and Semiotellus fumipennis Thomson, 1876 are discussed as probable boreo-montane species. Four plant associations are also presented.

Distributional data for 21 species of Pteromalidae from 4 subfamilies (Miscogasterinae, Ormocerinae, Pteromalinae and Spalangiinae) is presented. Five species are new to the fauna of the Balkan Peninsula and 16 species are new to the Bulgarian fauna. A new host for Spalangia nigroaenea is established - Saltella sp. Some species are reared from their hosts in laboratory conditions. The habitats for most of the species and plant associations for Systasis angustula, Caenacis inflexa, Psilocera punctifrons and Sphegigaster intersita are also presented.

Two species of Clausiliidae are described as new to science. Euxinella alpinella sp. n. is the fourth species within genus Euxinella Nordsieck, 1973, and Vestia lazarovii sp. n. is the second species of genus Vestia recorded from the Republic of Macedonia. In both species, the clausilium apparatus shows a high degree of variation. © Ivaylo Kanev Dedov.
