Dictyosporium amoenum, a new asexual fungus collected on leaves of Calophyllum brasiliense in the Brazilian semiarid Caatinga region, is described and illustrated. It is distinguished by digitate complanate brown conidia composed of four parallel compact rows of cells, each row with a globose hyaline mucous apical appendage. Two new species of hyphomycetes, Arachnophora dinghuensis and Websteromyces inaequale, are described and illustrated from specimens collected on dead branches of unidentified plants in China. Arachnophora dinghuensis is characterized by monoblastic, integrated, terminal, occasionally percurrently extending conidiogenous cells that produce solitary, acrogenous, staurosporous conidia. The conidia are two-celled, irregular, brown, 21-27.5 × 10-17 μm, with a central body that bears 2 or more fertile, brown to pale brown lateral cells, which in turn give rise to 1-3 fertile, conical, hyaline to pale brown arm-cells, 4-6.5 × 3.5-4.5 μm. A microconidial, Selenosporella-like synanamorph occurs at the apex of the arms. Websteromyces inaequale is recognized as the second species in the genus, and differs from the type species, W. verruculosus, in possessing naviculiform, obclavate to ellipsoidal, smooth, larger conidia in unbranched acropetal chains. The hyphomycetes Rhexoacrodictys queenslandica and Solicorynespora sylvatica are reported from China for the first time. During investigation of microfungi on dead plant material in a semiarid region of northeast Brazil, an interesting fungus was collected that is described and illustrated here. Zelodactylaria verticillata anam. gen. & sp. nov. is distinguished by macronematous verticillate brown conidiophores with marked sympodially proliferating conidiogenous cells with long cylindrical denticles and solitary obovoid to clavate hyaline 0-1-septate conidia. © 2012. A new species of Dictyosporium found on decaying needle-like leaves of Araucaria angustifolia in Brazil is described and illustrated. The new species is characterized by conidia being cheiroid, complanate, with 15-27 cells arranged in 4-6 rows, each with 3-6 cells, and apical cells with hyaline 3-7-celled appendages. Three species of the anamorphic fungus Neosporidesmium were collected from tropical forests in Hainan province, China. N. malloti sp. nov., N. xanthophylli sp. nov. and N. antidesmae sp. nov., and occurring, respectively, on dead branches of Mallotus hookerianus, Xanthophyllum hainanense and Antidesma ghaesembilla, are described and illustrated. P. fici sp. nov. is described and illustrated from specimen collected on dead branches of Ficus benjamina. P. aquatica is recorded for the first time from China. A new species of dematiaceous hyphomycetes, Sporidesmiopsis guangxiensis, is described and illustrated. It is characterized by its macronematous conidiophores with branches at the apex and conidiogenous cells arising on both stipe and branches. Its euseptate conidia are larger than those of S. goanensis, but smaller than those of the other species of the genus. A key to Sporidesmiopsis species is provided. S. melicopes sp. nov., S. linderae sp. nov. and S. fici sp. nov. are described and illustrated from specimens collected on dead branches of Melicope triphylla, Lindera communis and Ficus auriculata, respectively. Sporidesmiella rosae sp. nov., S. machili sp. nov., and S. archidendri sp. nov., occurring, respectively, on dead branches of Rosa chinensis, Machilus grijsii, and Archidendron clypearia, were collected from subtropical forests in southern China.
