Research and observations indicate that close and successful international cooperation between companies requires people with overall talent who demonstrate both technical expertise and a good command of English. However, the majority of current graduates in China cannot meet those requirements. To cultivate highly skilled people able to effectively communicate in English is a major challenge and a strategic goal for universities. This article reports on a progressive specialty-oriented English teaching system deployed throughout the whole university study course that aims to help students convert their broad knowledge of English into specialised English. Practice has shown that this teaching mode can deliver the expected outcomes and it brings positive results for students. © 2015 WIETE.

With the constant development of modern science and technology, the need for comprehensive talent in China has increased. Cultivating high-quality and application-oriented talent specialised in engineering management is important. By considering the characteristics of college students, current teaching programmes and the special needs of engineering management, a novel, multi-level and individualised teaching method known as comprehensive talent cultivation (CTC) is proposed in this article. The teaching results verify that the CTC method can play an important role in improving the learning efficiency and employment rate of students. The CTC teaching mode has achieved good teaching results and applicability in cultivating engineering talent. © 2015 WIETE.

With the improvement of people's living standards, the food safety issue occurs frequently. How to identify all kinds of risks, evaluate these risks scientifically and manage the risk control effectively are the challenge for each sully chain manager and the relevant researchers. In order to reduce the occurrence of the food safety issues and ensure the quality of the people's life, it is necessary to evaluate the food safety. Based on the food supply chain safety evaluation model, this paper uses AHP fuzzy integrated evaluation method with a new scale to evaluate food supply chain safety risk. The paper provides reference to ensure the safety of the food supply chain. © 2016 SERSC.

By using the method of separation of variables, an analytical solution for the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow of the generalized Maxwell fluids under AC electric field through a two-dimensional rectangular micropump is reduced. By the numerical computation, the variations of velocity profiles with the electrical oscillating Reynolds number Re, the Hartmann number Ha, the dimensionless relaxation time De are studied graphically. Further, the comparison with available experimental data and relevant researches is presented. © 2015 Elsevier B.V.

Inner Mongolia is one of the most typical and severe dry provinces, drought is it's main meteorological disasters. Remote sensing monitoring becomes irreplaceable effective means in the regional drought monitoring and drought mechanism research with the advantages of macro, rapid, objective, dynamic and real time. Inner Mongolia region is vast and flat, so suitable for carrying out the regional drought monitoring research with remote sensing technology. Application of meteorological drought indices and historical documents for drought monitoring and study is relatively more. However application of remote sensing technology for drought monitoring in Inner Mongolia is at the beginning stage of development. Further study and exploration is urgently needed. In this paper research work of application of remote sensing approach in drought monitoring in Inner Mongolia is summarized and existing problems are pointed out. Finally give some suggestions for the application of remote sensing technology in the drought monitoring in Inner Mongolia. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
