This paper propose an optimized algorithm for face recognition based on Gabor filter and Locality Preserving Projections (LPP) Algorithm, improve the high dimensions problem of face recognition use Gabor filter. The Algorithm is as follows: First, Use Gabor filters to decompose face images to get a high-dimensional vector; Second, Reduce the dimension of high-dimensional vector by LPP; Finally, The obtained feature vector is input to SVM to efficiently identify the face. The proposed algorithm is test by ORL face database. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can efficiently identify the face, and the overall performance is better than the algorithm, which is based on only Gabor filter. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2012.

In this paper, it represents the basic characteristics of virtual reference advisory platform and plone content management system. In addition to how to use plone content management system for virtual reference advisory platform which is as a interactive cross between students and administrators. The content organization and classification, the effective work flow and the users rights are the keys of the virtural platform, meanwhile the using of a third plug-ins can make the platform more perfect. Experiments show that the platform based on plone is easy to use and enhances the efficiency of the library work. © 2010 IEEE.

Aiming at the threshing loss during super-rice and round-grained rice harvesting, the head-feed coaxial differential rotor was designed. The threshing test between the different speed and single speed rotor was preceded. The 3-D image and mathematical modal were built by Matlab on the basis of measured data of mixture and its compositions. The results showed that the 0.06% grains were not threshed clearly by differential rotor, which reduced by 61.25% compared to the single speed one. The 3-D image showed that uniform distribution of mixture and its compositions along on sieve was better than the single speed one. The coaxial differential threshing rotor set the benefit of high-speed and low-speed in one, which can solve the problem of the threshing loss during super-rice and round-grained harvesting and reduce the loss rate, the damage rate and impurity loss.

Aiming at the lack of SQL Server skill assessment system at present, in this paper a model of automatic marking on SQL Server skill operation based on XML is proposed after analyzing the existing logically formalized automatic marking technology. And the implementation principles and processes are introduced with focuses on two critical technical links: XML formalized expression and XML formalized automatic marking. It is proved that automatic marking on SQL Server skill operation based on XML is superior to manual marking in marking effectiveness. © 2010 IEEE.

Because of the abstract of programming courses, the weak learning ability of vocational college students and the shortage of learning resources, it is difficult to purely apply action-oriented teaching in programming courses nowadays. This paper provides an improved action-oriented teaching based on the characteristics of the course and the student and the existed learning resources. The new method is named IDCEAG, which follows the six steps of "importing a case→designing its algorithm→coding its function→explaining its knowledge→applying by self→guiding its summary". By practice, IDCEAG can achieve the teaching aims on training programming capability. The method is also suitable for the other integrated courses of theory and practice included in the computer related major. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH Berlin Heidelberg.
