Linear Motor is essentially a rotary engine uncoiled. Mobile system, which in the case of rotating motor is represented by the rotor, in the case of linear motors is performing a translation movement. The scope of this work is to present the basic principles for the research, design, testing and implementation of a system found on board of vehicles, used to monitor and register the vehicle driving time together with the driving manner. The system can be implemented on commercial vehicles, including large trucks and tanks transporting technical liquids, that simultaneously allow the collection of data registered on media support, such as a smart card. The recordings may be used by road authorities to verify the driver's compliance with the current regulations (driving for no more than 10 hours a day, resting for at least 8 hours in a 24 hour day). Moreover, the system is able to detect the driver's driving manner by speed recordings in relation with the zonal speed legal regulations. Source

This work is the result of research carried out within Activity II.1.1 (Drawing up the execution documentation for the functional model measurement system) within Stage II.1 (Drawing up the execution documentation for the functional model of the measurement system for meteorological parameters defining road safety), as a part of the "MODULAR AUTONOMOUS MONITORING SYSTEM FOR METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS ON RUNWAYS (temperature, barometric pressure, fog, black ice, snow, wind, rainfall measurement)" project. In this context, the work ONLY deals with and indicates issues on the measurement system for the considered meteorological parameters, respectively, issues related to the sensors and transducers predicted to be used in the construction of the considered meteorological station. The paper presents mainly the possible criteria and options for the achievement, as a national premiere, of a system for real time monitoring of meteorological parameters that condition and at the same time contribute to the safety of road traffic. The monitoring system chosen as an experimental realization variant is based on specific and specialized sensors whose signals are processed and used for the achievement of warning messages, displayed on a display with dimensions useful for road traffic participants.
