This paper deals with the synthesis and structural characterization of iron doped rutile (TiO2) nanopowders and a mixture of nano rutile and transparent iron oxide by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM), Selected Area Electron Diffraction (SAED), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Energy Dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX). The optical properties of the dried acrylpolyurethane polymer films containing the mentioned nano powders (UV-Vis spectra, transparency and colours) have been studied and compared with coating containing others nano oxides (like nano-CeO2 nano-ZnO or nono-Fe2O3) used as UV absorbers for transparent organic coatings.

The paper presents the technical economic analysis of a small-scale microgrid by using the RETScreen software. The technical economic analysis has been developed by considering the interconnected operation of the microgrid with the electric public grid as well as the presence of an internal load. Thus, there have been analysed both the cumulative cash flow graphs and the necessary costs as well as the income generated by the proposed investments, in order to evaluate the financial profitability of the considered project. The paper also includes the evaluation of the investment’s uncertainty by the sensitivity and risk analysis for the selected scenario. The analyses have been implemented in relation to the Net Present Value, and it have considered the most important indicator’s impact over NPV. © 2016, ICPE Electra Publishing House. Ceramics with composition of Pb(1-x/2)(Zr0.52Ti 0.48)1-xNbxO3 with x = 0.01 - 0.025, were prepared by conventional mixed oxide route were investigated. A microstructure with mean grains sizes of 1-3μm were found and the apparent density of 7.1-7.6 g/cm3. The dielectric and piezoelectric properties were determined on ceramic discs with a diameter of 10 - 18 mm and 1mm thick. Dielectric constant and losses have been measured in the range of frequencies at 40 Hz - 400 kHz using impedance analyzer. The piezoelectric constant k p were calculate using the resonance and antiresonance values. It showed that the Nb additives were helpful in improving both of the dielectric and piezoelectric properties.
