Based on primary and furthermore detailed survey data, taking debris flow in Shuiche Town, Xinhua County, Henan Province as a case study, formative condition of the debris flow was analyzed, the debris flow's kinematic parameters were quantitatively calculated and development trend of the disaster was predicted. Finally, it is pointed out that the appropriateness of prevention and control measures by bilogical engineering (afforestation) in granite residual debris slope should be taken into delibration.

Taking the engineering slope in Changsha Vocational and Technical College of Business and Travel as a case study,this paper studies atypical buckling-type landslide mechanism of bedding soft rock slope. The landslide is a new type of buckling failure named for atypical buckling-type landslide. The features of atypical buckling-type landslide are as follows:it occures in soft rock bedding slope,sliding surface is not gap-adjacent,the rock mass of slope base at a certain distance in front of slope toe shows bend-uplift and damage, phased evslution feature occures not yet, its possible evolution mode may be a shear failure at top of bend-uplift belt and the landslide maybe occures again when the rock mass arrives yielding or buckling.
