Based on the spinning equipment and the spinning process, the factors that affects the ramie yarn hairiness are explored. The analysis result is got by comparing with different diameter and surface state of the ring, spinning spindle speed, the diameter of yarn guide, yarn twist level and yarn tension grooved drum speed and network conditions etc. For example of the spinning process of the ramie yarn 16.7 tex, under the standard testing conditions (temperature 20 °C , humidity 65%), with the hairiness testing meter type Changling YG172A, the factors affects the hairiness under the different spinning conditions are found out, the measures of reducing the hairiness and improving the quality are instituted. Experiment data shows the different spinning conditions, the speed is the key factor affecting yarn hairiness. The yarn hairiness with length less 4 mm is 80% -90% of all, it is mainly born during the spinning process, and increased during the winding process. Therefore,the important measures to reduce the hairiness of ramie yarn is to proceed fit technical diameter and reasonable equipment and to use updated improved spinning technology and hairiness dealing process. Using reasonably selected combed dyed wool sliver and ramie sliver, it developed the technology of ramie/wool siro spun yarn in each process on long spinning system of ramie, developed the measure of reducing the hair on the surface of the yarn and increasing the strength of the yarn. During the process, the top dyed wool pre-processed before the pre-drawing process, designing reasonable technology for each process, the electrostatic clinging problem is solved effectively. Using fit siro equipment, it improved the suspended spindle equipment of the long spinning system of ramie. With reasonable parameter of auto-winding machine and double twisting machine, the 30% wool 70% ramie blended yarn (36 Nm) is successfully produced. The double twisted blended thread 36/2 Nm is got and then the wool ramie blended fabric is produced, which became one of the most popular fabrics for autumn winter garment on the market. Source

Systematic technical research is proceeded for the processes of the degumming, spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing of the natural ramie fabric. High quality natural ramie fiber is got by the degumming technology of biologic enzyme. Quality control standard of high quality natural ramie fiber fit for light weight fabric is instituted accordingly. By spinning dissolvable fiber with the natural ramie fiber blended yarn, high efficiency could be reached and high weaving quality could be guaranteed during weaving process. Natural ramie fiber can be well used to design stripes and checks effect fabric, with the same effect as yarn dyed but natural. Source

A process for dyeing ramie sliver, comprising: 1.) pretreatment: cooking the ramie sliver for 8-12 minutes in a cooking reagent in a bath ratio of 1:4-10, the cooking reagent is a 1-3 g/L aqueous solution of a penetrating agent; and 2.) dyeing: dyeing the cooked ramie sliver in an active dye in a bath ratio of 1:4-10. Also disclosed is a method for preparing ramie yarn. The ramie sliver dyed according to the present invention improves the properties of ramie fibers, such that the ramie fibers are less likely to break; and the ramie fibers are less likely to harden, avoiding poor drawing, needle breakage and missing stitches during carding and coalescing in post-procedures, thus achieving the purpose of smooth yarn spinning. Also disclosed is a method for preparing ramie colored-spun yarn.
