A novel HPLC method was established, which was carried out on a Lichrospher C 18 column with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile - 0.5% formic acid aqueous solution (5: 95) and a detection wavelength of 280 nm. Two major impurities in bulk material of sodium levofolinate were prepared by this method. Their exact molecular weights were acquired by LC-Q-TOF. Their full scan mass spectra and product ion scan mass spectra were obtained by LC-MS/MS. The fragment profiles of two target impurities were explained and their chemical structures were elucidated. Impurity 1 was identified as 7-hydroxy-8-hydrofolic acid in sodium levofolinate bulk material for the first time. Impurity 2 was identified as 10-formylfolic acid. This method is effective in identifying two major impurities in bulk material of sodium levofolinate detected by the current HPLC method, and the results are useful for its quality controll.

The objective of this work was to investigate the ultrasound assisted sulfonation of the hyper-cross-linked resin H-06, which was of BET surface area 1019.08m2/g and micropore area 844.44m2/g. The amount of sulfonic acid groups uploaded onto resin was taken as evaluation index to investigate the effects of the ultrasound assisted sulfonation. Results showed that the optimum ultrasound sulfonation conditions were as follows: Dimethyl sulfoxide as swelling agent, reaction temperature 80℃, ultrasonic power 180W, 92.5% H2SO4, ratio of resin to sulfuric acid 1:5 and ultrasonic time 1.5h. Under the optimum conditions, the amount of sulfonic acid groups uploaded onto the ultrasound assisted sulfonated resin (denoted GQ-07) is 1.75mmol/g, while the amount of sulfonic acid groups uploaded onto the non-ultrasound assisted sulfonated resin (denoted H-07) is 0.75mmol/g. GQ-07 resin was of BET surface area 553.69m2/g and micropore area 483.48m2/g, while H-07 resin was of BET surface area 589.91m2/g and micropore area 514.34m2/g. The adsorption capacity of 2-aminophenol onto the four hyper-cross-linked resins followed the order GQ-07>H-07>H-06>H103 resin at the same condition. © 2017, Editorial Office, Ion Exchange and Adsorption. The axisymmetric simplified model of tubesheet structure, that is equivalent tubesheet and shell element model, is presented to deal with the problems that modeling is complicated and solving is difficult for tubesheet structure of large heat exchanger, in which a series of same thickness and thin wall cylinders are used to replace tube to tubesheet supporting role in according to the equal principle of support stiffness, and strengthening effect of pipe wall thickness is considered by combining with multi-scale homogenization method. The influence of the number of shell element on calculating accuracy of axisymmetric model was discussed. The computational results of axisymmetric model were compared with the one of solid model, and stress evaluation was carried out. The results obtained show that the simplified model presented can not only meet the requirement of engineering, and also effectively save computational cost. Thus, the proposed simplified model could provide a theoretical reference for design by stress of tubesheet structure.

Objective: To investigate the compouds from methylene dichloride and n-butyl alcohol parts of 70% ethanol extract of the fruits of Euscaphis fukienensis. Methods: The compounds were isolated and purified by Sephadex LH-20, silica gel column chromatographies, and recrystallization. Their structures were identified by physicochemical properties and spectroscopic methods. Results: Ten compounds were isolated and identified as 1, 2-benzenedicarboxylic acid (1), butanedioic acid (2), gallic acid (3), isorhamnetin-3-O-glucoside (4), 4-hydroxy-benzoic acid (5), 2-methyl-5, 7-dihydroxychrom one (6), muconic acid (7), quercetin-3-O- glycosidase (8), β-sitosterol (9), and daucostrol (10). A new species of Elatostema J. R. Forst. & G. Forst. (Urticaceae), E. bioppositum L. D. Duan & Y. Lin, is described and illustrated from Guangxi, China. This species was found growing in evergreen broad-leaved forests in limestone hills at altitudes of 410-550 m. The new species is related to E. oppositum Q. Lin & Y. M. Shui, but differs from the latter by stipule linear, lanceolate-linear or lanceolate, 12-25 mm long, 2.0-4.5 mm wide; leaf blade green after drying; male inflorescence 15-30 mm in diameter and peduncle 2-3 mm long; and female inflorescence 7-15 mm in diameter. © 2013 Bangladesh Association of Plant Taxonomists.

Elatostema magni-auriculatum, a new species from Guangxi Zhuangzu Zizhiqu, China is described and illustrated. The species is related to E. myrtillus (Lévl.) Hand.- Mazz., but differs from the latter by stems longitudinally angled, stipules linearlanceolate, leaf blade obliquely ovate or obliquely ovate-elliptic, and staminate perianth lobes oblong-cymbiform. © 2015 Bangladesh Association of Plant Taxonomists.

Based on examination of specimens of Elatostema J. R. Forster & G. Forster (Urticaceae) from Vietnam, Elatostema albopilosum W.T. Wang var. vicinum L. D. Duan & Y. Lin, a new variety collected from Bac Can Province and Tuyen Quang Province, Vietnam, is described and photographed. This new variety has glabrous stems, glabrous leaves and glabrous peduncles which differs from var. albopilosum that having sparsely puberulent leaf blade on abaxial surface along veins and sparsely strigillose leaf blade on adaxial surface, and short pilose peduncles. E. integrifolium (D. Don) Wedd. and E. pseudodissectum W. T. Wang, two species previously known from Vietnamese adjacent countries, are newly recorded from Ninh Binh Province and Tam Dao National Park, Vietnam, respectively. The vouchers are kept in the Herbarium (PE) of Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, and their descriptions and photographs are also provided. © 2014 Bangladesh Association of Plant Taxonomists.

The synergistic flame-retarded effects of a similar molecular sieve [Co5(OH)2(tca)2(ina)2 (H2O)2] 4H2O(Co5) and ammonium polyphosphate(APP) on cottonwood was studied. Compared with APP added individually, when the addition of Co5 was 1.7%, THR reduced 18.3% and the mass loss reduced 7.7%. The TGA showed that the processes of losing solvent water, coordinated water, tricarballylic acid and isonicotinic acid ligands can inhibit burning and lower the weightlessness rate. The flame retardancy of APP/Co5 was superior to that used APP individually, Co5 showed good synergistic flame-retarded effects. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

The synergistic flame-retarded effects of a similar molecular sieve [Co5(OH)2(tca)2(ina)2 (H2O)2]·4H2O(Co5) and ammonium polyphosphate(APP) on cottonwood was studied by cone calorimeter. The results showed that compared with APP added individually, the combination of Co5 and APP was led to the reduction of total heat release (THR) to 18.3%, the mass loss to 7.7%, y(CO2) to 22.8 g/kg and y(CO) to 12.3 g/kg, respectively. The TGA and XRD analysis also showed that the generation of tricarballylic acid and isonicotinic acid ligands under high temperature. It can promote the decomposition of the APP and help to inhibit burning and lower the weightlessness rate. Thus, the flame retardancy of s-APP/Co5 was superior to s-APP. Co5 showed good effects on the APP flame retarded cottonwood.
