In accordance with the technique features of Active Power Filter control in harmonics suppression, e.g., time lag, non-linearity and frequent disturbance in work field, a fuzzy neural network predictive controller based on genetic algorithm is designed. By combining fuzzy control, neural network and predictive control, it can enhance self-studying, tracking and anti-interference capabilities of the algorithm, and the neural network can compensate with the limitation of conventional predictive control that based on linear model. With this algorithm the compensating current is controlled, and the simulation experimental curves show that the proposed method is more effective and feasible than PI control or digit adaptive control. © 2012 IEEE.

Simulation model on deterioration of three-way catalytic converter was obtained after combining deterioration mechanism and chemical reaction and revising chemical reaction with the average diameter of Pt and frequency factors. Model was verified by comparing the experimental results and the conversion efficiency of No and CO, and grey relational analysis was processed on the simulation results. The results show that the relational degree of excessive air coefficient, inlet temperature, divergence angle and mileage are greater than 0.5 and they are the main factors of deterioration performance of automotive three-way catalytic converter. Moreover, mileage is the most essential influencing factor, whose grey relational analysis can be applied to the analysis in affecting factors of the deterioration performance of automotive three-way catalytic converter.

The 2-D image of a spinning target obtained by monostatic radar is modified by the angle between the spinning axis and the radar line of sight, so it usually cannot describe the real size of the target. The T/R-R bistatic radar is proposed to solve this problem. First, the bistatic geometry and bistatic echo signals of a spinning target are modeled. Then, a novel 2-D imaging algorithm is presented based on the connections between the mono-and bistatic echoes of the same scatterer and the classical Hough transform, allowing both the mono-and bistatic 2-D images of the spinning target to be obtained simultaneously. The theoretical analysis is carried out by the electromagnetic calculation and numerical simulations. © 2012 IEEE.

Based on wavelet transform of strain mode, the damage identification of plane frame was studied in this paper. Solving strain modal parameters of plane frames with cracks by means of the finite element theory, applying the gauss2 wavelet transform to analyse the stain mode of plane frame, and denoising the wavelet coefficients of the strain mode by db3 wavelet, then the location of crack of the plane frame could be identified by the maximum of wavelet coefficients after denoising. Therefore, this method was proposed for damage identification of plane frames based on strain mode. Taking one-story plane frame for example, three finite element models, including a frame beam with a crack, each frame column with a crack, and each frame beam and column with a crack, were set up seperately, then the above-mentioned method was applied to identify the location of the crack. The results show that the method is effective, and it may be useful in damage identification and diagnosis in structures.

This study focuses on test loading program and evaluation for pedestrian bridge. On the basis of the finite element analysis, numerical model of Lv River Bridge, which is a steel box pedestrian suspension bridge, is established. Moreover, field static load test is done and the results of tests are compared to the theoretical values. Results show that the measured result fits well with the theoretical result and bridge is in the situation of elastic deformation, and the strength and stiffness satisfy the need of design. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications.

Based on the finite element theory, a method is proposed for crack identification of simple beam via the wavelet analysis of vibration modal parameters. A cracked simple beam is simulated using finite element method, and its modal parameters, including first three-order vibration modes, are obtained. Then, these modal parameters are analyzed via mexh and db wavelets. The crack location of the simple beam is identified by the maximum of wavelet coefficients, which validates the proposed method. This research may be useful in crack identification of simple beam structures. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

This study focuses on buckling analysis of steel cylinder in super long bored piles during construction. Due to special reasons, a steel sleeve is needed to be put into a 92m-long bored pile hole. On the basis of the theoretical estimation and numerical calculation of the steel cylinder, analysis model is established and the highest first pouring height is got. To ensure construction safety, casting speed can be from slow to fast and we can place level or toroidal support at appropriate placement of the steel cylinder. Moreover, test was done and the results show that the wall is in good condition, and the strength and stiffness satisfy the design requirements. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Using SPSS software for pretreated soft rock tunnel, a regression analysis of the monitoring data reflected the internal relationship and change rule between tunnel vault sink and the surrounding convergence and distance from tunnel face to monitoring section and measuring time. The results show that: the regression model of soft rock tunnel fitted well to monitoring data, under different adjacent rock condition the corresponding tunnel deformation model has big difference, according to the fitting regression equation of tunnel monitoring data, we can preliminary calculate the limit value of tunnel excavation after excavating and the time needed until stable state to provide strong basis for adjusting performed deformation and later arrangement. © the authors.

By means of the wavelet analysis theory, the damage identification of plane frame was studied. Based on the finite element analysis of modal parameters, the method using the wavelet analysis of rotation mode was proposed for plane frames crack identification, and the mexh wavelet transform was applied to analyze the rotation mode of plane frame, so the location of crack of the plane frame can be identified by the maximum of wavelet coefficients. Taking one-story plane frame for example, the finite element model, each frame beam and column with a crack, was seperately set up, and the above-mentioned method was applied to identify the location of the crack, and the results validate this method. Finally, compared with the result of the wavelet transform to analysis vibration mode and rotation mode, it can be concluded that the method using the wavelet analysis of rotation mode is more convenient and more effective.
