In order to test the distributed polarization coupling of fiber coil in interferometric fiber optic gyroscope (IFOG), optical coherence domain polarization (OCDP) measurement technology was used. The location and intensity of distributed polarization coupling was achieved through analyzing the test results. Moreover, large coupling point induced by defects was observed, and the symmetry of fiber coil by the midpoint can be computed according to the large polarization coupling point in fiber at midpoint induced by the stress. Temperature dependence of distributed polarization coupling in fiber coils was tested, and it is shown that the difference of polarization coupling at different temperature is related to the adhesives' curable method used. Comparison of fiber coils with hub and without hub show that the polarization coupling is much more homogeneous at all temperatures for no hub fiber coil.
