According to the generating mechanism of slip line, and on the basis of the sheet metal deformation process with finite element incremental method simulation, it's supposed that the coordinate value of mass point on the sheet in the elemental area coordinate system kept constant. Through the comparison of the location of current indentation and initial indentation by tracking the material flow process step by step, the prediction of slip line was achieved in FASTAMP-POST system. The efficiency and accuracy of the algorithm are comparatively higher. The method providing reference for prediction of slip line on automobile panels reduces much time spending on repeating test process in traditional die manufacturing, and improves productivity. To avoid the surface loss and accuracy loss between CAD/CAE model transformation and design change in current CAD software which leads to iterative construction of the CAE analysis model, a synchronous simulation system FASAMP_NX for automobile panel forming was developed with geometric association and parameter association based on Siemens NX platform by using UG/OPEN API, with FASAMP_NX, the synchronous updating of the CAE and the CAD model of process scheme was achieved. The drawing process of an automobile engine tailgate based on real drawbead was then simulated and the process scheme was improved. The results verified the validity of the synchronous simulation. According to the geometry of surface distortion in the automobile panel forming process, simulating the process for detecting the surface distortion with an oilstone, a function that can detect the surface distortion with high computational efficiency and accuracy was developed on the basis of three-dimensional grid sheet achieved by numerical simulation, through analyzing the relative position between a node and the nodes around it. The calculation method can be used in the design process to predict the surface distortion, so that to reduce the die testing times and to improve efficiency. Source

The CAA further development technology has been applied to design and develop the formability synchronous emulation system BEW(blank estimation wizard) for automobile panel product design based on CATIA. Employing the publication function of CATIA, this system can update CAD models and CAE models synchronously, which can save the CAE modeling time repeatedly during early stage of product design, and avoid losing model data and accuracy. Based on improved inverse approach of FE, the system can calculate the blank shape of stamping parts and forecast the distribution of stress and strain on the parts according to the part shapes or workpiece shapes with binder surface. As an effective carrier of DFM (design for manufacture), the system can be applied to the early stage of automobile panel product design, help the enterprise to increase the process quality and product quality of new products, and shorten develop time of new products.
