The mix design parameters of concrete-water cement ratio (W/C ratio) and sand ratio (S ratio) have a significant influence on the performance of manufactured sand concrete. The influence of S ratio under certain W/C ratio on slump, and the influence of W/C ratio under the optimized S ratio on slumps and strength of different grade manufactured sand concrete were researched. The experimental results show that under certain W/C ratio or slumps, the optimized S ratio of C30, C40 and C50 manufactured sand concrete arc 40%, 42% and 40%. The optimized S ratio of C40 manufactured sand concrete is between 40% and 42% under different W/C ratios. Under the optimized S ratio, the slump of manufactured sand concrete increases with the increase of W/C ratio, and it is more obvious at low W/C ratio. The strength first increases slightly and then decreases linearly with the increase of W/C ratio. ©, 2014, Wuhan University of Technology. All right reserved.
