Microstructure and mechanical properties of S30432 steel welded joint using different filler metal were studied. The results show that high tensile strength of S30432 steel welded joint can be obtained using YT-304H, ERNiCrMo-3 and ERNiCrCoMo-1 filler metal and all the weld metal have aging embrittlement tendency after aging at 650 °C for 7000 h, but ERNiCrMo-3 weld has minimum charpy impact toughness. All the three filler metal have excellent creep rupture strength. The strength of YT-304H weld result from the disperse distribution of fine Cu-rich phase and MX phase. The main strengthening phase of ERNiCrCoMo-1 and ERNiCrMo-3 weld is γ'and γ"phase, respectively after aging. The dense precipitation of needle-like δ and σ phases should be responsible for impact property worsening of ERNiCrMo-3 weld metal after aging. Source

Large steam turbine generator unit normally adopts two identical ″zero-sequence voltage plus 3rd harmonic″ type stator grounding protection. The domestic voltage-injection stator grounding protection is recently applied to a unit to realize the redundant configuration of protections with different principles. The basic principle of voltage-injection stator single-phase grounding protection is introduced, and its factory commissioning, site commissioning with inoperative generator and that with 30% rated voltage are detailed. The actual operating status for a stator grounding fault during unit startup commissioning is analyzed and its proper action shows the advantages of voltage-injection stator grounding protection. As the designs for various types of protective device, breaker and operating box are not standardized in power projects, the anti-bouncing circuit of circuit breaker operating mechanism and the anti-bouncing circuit of protective device operating box could not cooperate properly at the same time with the breaker in reclosing operation during site commissioning, which is generally solved by disabling the anti-bouncing circuit of operating box. The "one from two" principle is discussed and it is suggested to insert the normal-close contact of circuit breaker in the closing monitoring circuit while both the anti-bouncing circuits are kept, which ensures the proper cooperation. Practical application proves its reliability and correctness. Source

Configuration of steam-driven draft fan system was introduced, the adjusting functions and the energy-saving performance of the stream driven draft fans as well as the problems encountered in its actual operation were analyzed, eventually, some relevant solutions were proposed. Due to the impact of external load, the million-kilowatt unit designed in accordance with its base-load by Huaneng Haimen Power Plant frequently varies between 400 MW and 1036 MW in a day. It is necessary to optimize the opening of stator blades in steam-driven draft fans and the coordination of rotational speeds among small stream turbines in the whole unit. Through practice, the whole control strategy of steam-driven draft fans of 1036 MW unit in Huaneng Haimen Power Plant was optimized. Not only the security of instant run bank for failures the steam-driven draft fans but also the instant reaction ability to the furnace negative pressure was enhanced and improved. Meanwhile, the logically modified stator blades of steam-driven draft fans runs basically within the maximum efficiency area of draft fans. Thus, the aim of deepening the energy conservation of stream-driven draft fans was achieved. Microstructure and mechanical properties of HR3C steel weld joints aged at high temperature were studied by optical microscope and transmission electron microscope observation and mechanical property test. The results show that the tensile strength and hardness of the HR3C steel weld joints aged are enhanced, however the Charpy impact absorbed erergy decrease rapidly and keeps about 15 J aged for 7000 h. Continuous distribution of net-like M 23C 6 and existence of σ phase and G phase along grain boundary result in the aging embrittlement of weld metal, and dispersion strengthening of fine Z phase precipitating in austenitic matrix increase the hardness and strength.
