In order to improve the ability to feed paper currency from a deposit unit and to reduce the height of the device, this paper currency handling device (100) has a paper currency recognition unit (170) and a paper currency storage unit (200) (which does not include a deposit unit (120) and a withdrawal unit (140)) accommodated within a chassis section (112) of a vault (110), so that deposited paper currency is transported to the paper currency storage unit (200) and withdrawn paper currency is transported from the paper currency storage unit (200) as the paper currency passes through the chassis section (112). When the paper currency (B) is fed to a feed path unit (124) connecting the deposit unit (120) and an upstream deposit path (181), the vanes (129) of impellers (128) make contact with the paper currency (B) retained in the deposit unit (120), with the contact being on the feed path unit (124) side.

The present invention ensures safety and validity, during generation of encryption keys required for encrypted communication between an overall control unit for an automatic transaction device and an internal device. An automatic transaction device comprising a first device mounted internally and a control unit that controls devices sends and receives data between said first device and the control unit. The first device executes processing that generates a first code relating to the first device and sends same to the control unit and executes processing that verifies a second code received from the control unit and generates an encryption key in accordance with the verification results. The control unit executes: processing whereby, after the first code has been received, verification is made that the operation environment is within the automatic transaction device; and processing whereby, if a determination is made that the operation environment is within the automatic transaction device, a second code is generated and sent to the first device.

Provided is a technology capable of assisting in execution of a more appropriate measure. A demand-supply adjustment device includes: a memory unit configured to store: production capacity information relating to production capacity of supply source site; profit allocation information relating to target values of profit allocation for respective sites including supply source site and order site; and measure information relating to plurality of measures against shortage of supply; a demand-supply adjustment unit configured to determine whether or not a shortage of supply is to occur by referring to production capacity information when receiving demand information relating to a demand quantity of product; and a measure combination extraction unit configured to, when a shortage of supply is determined to occur by demand-supply adjustment unit, calculate execution quantities in a case where the measure are executed and extract a combination of measure candidates by using the execution quantities and the target values.

A cash automatic transaction device capable of, upon storage of a banknote sent from a depositing/dispensing port in a banknote storage box, or upon accumulation of a banknote sent from the banknote storage box in the depositing/dispensing port, preventing the occurrence of trouble such as paper jam or poor posture. The cash automatic transaction device has a depositing/dispensing port used for depositing/dispensing of banknotes, and a banknote storage box for storage of deposited/dispensed banknotes. The depositing/dispensing port has depositing/dispensing space to store the deposited/dispensed banknotes, and accumulation space in which the banknote is accumulated upon dispensing. The width of the depositing/dispensing space is smaller than the exit and entrance width of the storage box, while the width of the accumulation space is greater than the exit and entrance width of the storage box.

A paper sheet handling apparatus capable of effectively preventing a photodetector from malfunctioning due to external light is provided. The present invention is a paper sheet handling apparatus including a paper sheet handling port, a projector for emitting light within the paper sheet handling port, a photodetector for receiving the light emitted from the projector, and a light-shielding body that is formed along an optical path from the projector towards the photodetector and shields the photodetector against external light; wherein a projector-side end of the light-shielding body is formed to be retracted from an incident direction of the external light towards the photodetector.

An inspection target object extraction apparatus is provided. The apparatus holds inspection target object feature data containing a range of reflection intensity of an inspection target object in at least one wavelength region. The apparatus obtains images each having a distance from the stereo camera system 101 lying within a predetermine range. The distance is determined based on parallax of image data taken by the two cameras 101A, 101B. The apparatus extracts an image as the inspection target object from the obtained images. The extracted image has a reflection intensity in the at least one wavelength region lying within the range of reflection intensity in the at least one wavelength region contained in the inspection target object feature data.

Method and apparatus for managing verification processing of communication messages in a communication system including a plurality of nodes N1-N9, including: receiving, at a first node N1 of the communication system, one or more communication messages from one or more neighbor nodes N2-N9 of the first node N1, performing validity verification operations for the one or more received communication messages, determining an overall verification rate parameter V_all being indicative of a number of validity verification operations performed per unit time at the first node N1, and controlling performing validity verification operations for one or more further communication messages received at the first node N1 from neighbor nodes N2-N9 of the first node N1 on the basis of a requirement that the determined overall verification rate parameter V_all remains below an overall verification rate threshold.

To provide an apparatus that can reduce cumbersome input by a user, while being capable of indicating changes efficiently. Files F1, F2 . . . are recorded in a recording part 8. The file F1 is an old version, and the file F2 is an updated new version. A difference extraction means 2 compares the file F1 which is the old version with the file F2 which is the new version, and extracts difference between the versions. On the basis of a difference condition 6 that is recorded in advance, a change notification means 4 determines whether each extracted difference satisfies the difference condition. The change notification means 4 notifies, to a terminal apparatus 10 of a user who registers the difference condition 6, the changed part, when the extracted difference satisfies the difference condition.
