Petroleum is an important strategic material which is connected with the vitals and safety of the national economy, and the supplier selections are related to the safety of petroleum production and supply. However, the traditional approaches for supplier selections are limited in subjective evaluation of weights, inaccurate assessing rules, and inefficient decision-making. Although most of the current methods are widely applied in corporation management, a more efficient approach needs to be proposed for supplier selection of oil enterprise. This paper summarizes the particular characteristics of the supply chain of Chinese petroleum enterprises, analyzes the limitations of the traditional methods of supplier selection, and brought forward the method based on case reasoning system (CBR) for petroleum enterprises. The method based on data mining techniques which solves three key problems of CBR, includes calculating the weights of the attributes with information entropy in case warehouse organizing process objectively, evaluating the similarities with k-prototype clustering between the original and target cases in case retrieving process exactly, and extracting the potential rules with back propagation neural networks from conclusions in maintenance and revising process efficiently. It demonstrates the advantages, practicability and validity of this method via case study finally. © 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

The recent technology of the single-nucleotide-polymorphism (SNP) array makes it possible to genotype millions of SNP markers on genome, which in turn requires to develop fast and efficient method for fine-scale quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping. The single-marker association (SMA) is the simplest method for fine-scale QTL mapping, but it usually shows many false-positive signals and has low QTL-detection power. Compared with SMA, the haplotype-based method of Meuwissen and Goddard who assume QTL effect to be random and estimate variance components (VC) with identity-by-descent (IBD) matrices that inferred from unknown historic population is more powerful for fine-scale QTL mapping; furthermore, their method also tends to show continuous QTL-detection profile to diminish many false-positive signals. However, as we know, the variance component estimation is usually very time consuming and difficult to converge. Thus, an extremely fast EMF (Expectation-Maximization algorithm under Fixed effect model) is proposed in this research, which assumes a biallelic QTL and uses an expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm to solve model effects. The results of simulation experiments showed that (1) EMF was computationally much faster than VC method; (2) EMF and VC performed similarly in QTL detection power and parameter estimations, and both outperformed the paired-marker analysis and SMA. However, the power of EMF would be lower than that of VC if the QTL was multiallelic. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

In the process of the rice germination, temperature control is the key. Due to the accelerating seed germination system belongs to a complex nonlinear, large time delay and multivariable, it is difficult to establish the exact mathematical relationship model. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, we established the model based on RBF neural network, and used genetic algorithm to optimize the parameters of the neural network. In order to realize the accurate control of temperature and ensure the quality of rice sprouting, Fuzzy-PID control method can adjusts the parameters of PID and effectively improve the uniform distribution of temperature in the germinating box. The 3D graphics of temperature distribution obtained by MATLAB can show effectiveness of the method. Finally, the control strategy and system model improving the rice budding rate and evenness of emergence, are verified by experimental verification. © 2016 SERSC.

Lactobacillus sakei c2, which could produce a bacteriocin with a broad inhibitory spectrum, have been proven to have certain probiotic potential. The practical application of L.sakei C2 as starter culture in the production of fermented sausage was investigated. During the sausage fermentation, L.sakei C2 established its prominent position in the microbial ecosystem, and, over 62.5% and 87.5% isolates were detected at each sampling point, when respectively inoculated with 5 and 7 log CFU/g. Moreover, L.sakei C2 as starter culture played an important role in the control of harmful microorganisms presented in the fermentation. Malondialdehyde (MDA) content and nitrite content in the samples of fermented sausages decreased with the increase of the inoculation concentration of L.sakei C2. Inoculation with L.sakei C2 significantly increased the color values of L* (lightness), and a* (redness), and magnitude of absorbance, which indicated that L.sakei C2 might increase the amount of nitrosylmyoglobin (NO-Mb) in the fermented sausages. By the evaluation of the panel, flavor and overall acceptability of the fermented sausage processed with 7 log CFU/g of L.sakei C2 was significantly superior to those processed with lower inocula (5 log CFU/g) and the control. All these results indicted that L.sakei C2 had good potential to be used as starter culture in the production of fermented sausages. © 2013 Elsevier Ltd.

The international universal calculations of the time for evacuation have their own features and limits and their effective areas have to be noticed. This study analyzes different ways to calculate the evacuation time, according to the relative indexes and rules for evacuation of Chinese sports stadium. According to the specific calculation in a university, it has safety hazards. On condition of not changing the hardware structures, this study proposes the notes and measures for safety evacuation and provides references and advice for its real application. © 2013 Maxwell Scientific Organization.

As bicycle sport equipment, a sport bike needs a speed and distance measuring device, due to the characteristic of road cycling, thereby mastering the state of motion. According to external conditions such as temperature, wind speed, the bike can make the appropriate adjustment to achieve the best movement effect. The bicycle speed odometer is a major accessibility tool that satisfies with needs of the people with fast development. This study elaborated a bike speed odometer design based on Hall element, taking AT89C52 single chip as the core, measuring speed with A44E Hall sensor, to finish the bike mileage/speed measurement and statistics by displaying bike mileage and speed in real time. By using the Hall elements, the hardware of speed odometer input the number of pulse of per circle into the single-chip computer system. Then the signal processed by the single-chip computer displays. The software is programmed with assembly language and modular design idea. The design of the hardware circuit is simple and the subroutine has universal property, which fully meet the design requirements and possess a wide range of application and dissemination value. © Maxwell Scientific Organization, 2013.

To investigate the effect of berberine hydrochloride (BBR) on the proliferation, apoptosis, TNF-α, IL-2 and IFN-γ secretion of splenocytes in mice. The splenocytes isolated from the spleen of mice in a sterile environment were pretreated with BBR at the concentrations of 1, 2, 4 μg/mL for 60 min. Thereafter, the cells were stimulated with polyclonal activators ConA and cultured for 24, 48, 72 h, respectively. MTT assay was used to detect the proliferation of cells; flow cytometry was performed to detect the splenocyte apoptosis according to the fluorescence intensity of the splenocytes stained with PI and annexin V-FITC; the concentrations of TNF-α, IL-2 and IFN-γ in the culture supernate was quantificationally analyzed by the ELISA. Compared with the control group, BBR within the concentration range above significantly inhibited the splenocyte proliferation, TNF-α, IL-2 and IFN-γ secretion of the splenocytes activated by ConA in a dose- and time-dependent manner (P<0.05), but didn't significantly cause the apoptosis of splenocytes (P>0.05). BBR can have immunosuppressive influence on the splenocytes in mice and may act as a potential immunosuppressive drug.

Objective: To screen high metallothionein (MT)-like protein-producing Candida utilis strains. Methods: C. utilis as a starting strain was subjected to mutagenesis by ultraviolet irradiation and nitrosoguanidine (NTG) alternatively, and determined for total protein, thiol activity and MT-like protein content, based on which the high MT-like protein-producing strains were screened, subcultured for five passages and analyzed for genetic stability. Results: A high MT-like protein-producing C. utilis strain N″-6 was screened, of which the MT-like protein-producing ability increased from 39.6 to 165.2 ng/L, and thiol activity from 0.035 to 0.147 μmol/L as compared with those of starting strain. The total protein content, thiol activity and MT-like protein content of strain N″-6 showed no significant variation after subculture for five passages. Conclusion: A high MT-like protein-producing C. utilis was screened, which showed high genetic stability and laid a foundation of industrial production of MT-like protein.

To gain further insights into temperate and tropical grass ensiling, fermentation products and bacterial communities were examined at both the initial and late stages of ensiling of wilted Italian ryegrass and wilted guinea grass silages. 2,3-Butanediol and ethanol fermentation were observed in wilted Italian ryegrass silage. Enterobacteria such as Rahnella sp. and Enterobacter sp. may have been involved in fermentation; however, alcohol production was intensified after the silage enterobacterial community overwhelmed the pre-ensiled enterobacterial community. Pediococcus spp. appeared in silage stored for 4 months, when a significant increase in lactic acid content was seen compared with that at 2 months. Prolonged storage enhanced acetic acid fermentation in wilted guinea grass silage. The disappearance of Enterococcus sulfureus and appearance of Lactobacillus plantarum may have been associated with the increased acetic acid content. Although many species of enterobacteria were found in common between the pre-ensiled crop and silages of Italian ryegrass and guinea grass, marked differences were seen in the type of fermentation from the initial stages. These results indicate that the bacterial community of pre-ensiled crops may be immediately replaced by one that is adapted to ensiling environments, although metabolic changes may continue over the course of ensiling. © 2013 Japanese Society of Animal Science.

In this article, a scheme for quantum teleportation of a two-qubit entangled state using four-qubit cluster state is discussed by use of cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) involving the interaction of the atoms with the cavity. In this protocol, by using a one-dimensional maximally four-qubit cluster state as quantum channel, quantum information of an unknown state of two two-level particles is faithfully transmitted from a sender (Alice) to a remote receiver (Bob). According to the results measured by the Bob, as it is shown, the unknown two-particle entangled state can be teleported perfectly, and the successful possibilities and fidelities of the scheme can reach 1.0. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York.
