An enviromentally friendly corrosion inhibitor containing polyaspartic acid was prepared in order to solve the problem of corrosion in concentrated seawater. The corrosion inhibition performance was evaluated by weight loss and electrochemical methods. The corrosion testing specimens were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results show that the corrosion inhibitor has good corrosion inhibition performance in concentrated seawater. The corrosion inhibition rate was about 96. 31% when the concentration of corrosion inhibitor was 150 mg.L-1 in concentrated seawater at 40°C.
