The approach of available transfer capability (denoted as ATC) incorporating wind generation has been paid very high attention since the development of wind generation. Based on the maximum function, this paper presents an ATC model. The characteristic of the new model is twofold. First, it considers wind turbines connected to power system and static security of power system simultaneously. Second, it is a system of semismooth equations and can be solved easily. By using the smoothing strategy, a smoothing Newton method is adopted for solving the proposed new ATC model. Numerical simulation results of the IEEE 30-bus and 118-bus system show that the new model and algorithm are feasible and effective. An accent of the 550 kV disconnecting switch rejecting remote is introduced and the process of trouble removal is instructed in this paper. Based on the analysis of the reason, a new test method which is suitable to be applied in the substation is suggested. By lots of experiments the effection of the test method is confirmed, some suggestions are proposed to provide a reference to manufactures, purchasers, installers, and operators. Source

According to a fault analysis of 500 kV circuit breaker unsuccessful switch on, the parts and the peg clearance of the breaker's operation device were examined and analyzed, The conclusion was got that the closing peg with inappropriate clearance maybe strip because of concussion. The experimentation has been done to prove the possibility and some suggestions are proposed to provide a reference to users and operators. Source

The application of integrated system of intelligent dispatch and centralized control in Hebei southern power grid is introduced. Based on IEC61970, taking the middleware CORBA based on the request of distributed public subject as the communication and integration framework, the open supporting platform based on CIM/CIS and constructed with real-time database integrates various application modules including SCADA, DTS, visualization dispatching system, intelligent dispatching system assisting decision-making and other applications. Solutions to the problems in application are presented. The monitoring of primary equipment in substation is integrated into EMS to improve safety performance of equipment operation. The solution of combining RTU static measurements, PMU dynamic data with the substation relay information could be adopted to increase the veracity of data source. Transforming the mode of operation management is used to achieve the optimization of resource allocation, staff reduction and increase of efficiency. Source
