In propellant systems, fuels of choice continue to be hydrazine and its derivatives, even though they comprise a class of acutely carcinogenic and toxic substances which exhibit rather high vapor pressures and require expensive handling procedures and costly safety precautions. Only recently (2008), ionic liquids (salts with melting points less than 100 °C) with the dicyanamide anion were shown to exhibit hypergolic properties (instantaneous ignition when contacted with oxidizers (100 % nitric acid, WFNA)). Such liquids tend to have low volatilities, and high thermal and chemical stabilities, and often exhibit long liquid ranges which could allow utilization of these substances as bipropellant fuels over a variety of conditions. A new family of dicyanoborates is presented, which can be synthesized in water, with substituted N-acyclic, N-cyclic, and azolium cations has met nearly all of the desired important criteria needed for well-performing fuels. Ignite my fire: Design and synthesis of ionic-liquid-based energetic materials provides a powerful methodology in the development of a new type of hypergolic fuel (one that undergoes instantaneous ignition on contact with oxidizers). A new family of dicyanoborate ionic liquids is presented (see picture), which are synthesizable in water, and has met nearly all of the desired important criteria for well performing fuels. A bumper beam assembly for a vehicle may include a back beam disposed inside a vehicle bumper, both distal ends of the back beam being oriented in a lateral direction of a main body of the vehicle, crash boxes coupled to one side of the back beam, the crash boxes protruding from the both distal ends of the back beam toward the bumper, and back beam stays integrally coupled to the other side of the back beam, the back beam stays protruding from the both distal ends of the back beam toward an inside of the vehicle, in a direction opposite to a direction in which the crash boxes protrude.

A rod stiffener may include a rod molded by a glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin, and brackets connected to both ends of the rod, in which properties of a core part forming a center of the rod and an outer part surrounding the core part are formed to be different from each other, and the properties of the core part and the outer part are differentiated by a mixing amount of glass fiber and polypropylene resin including the glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin.

Fireworks launching system and method are provided, which enable safe and accurate control in launching fireworks. The fireworks launching system may include fireworks launching units which are fireworks prepared for launching, launching module units electrically connected with the fireworks launching units to ignite the fireworks launching units, a central control unit to transmit a digital launching signal programmed in advance to the launching module units, and an emergency control unit operated independently from the central control unit to independently control the launching module units. Accordingly, a launching error such as misfire during fireworks may be reduced. Since launching may be performed accurately in units of maximum 62 microseconds (s), production technique and perfection for the fireworks displays may be increased. In addition, more safe fireworks displays may be carried out launching the fireworks in a remote manner through central control and monitoring using a bidirectional wired or wireless communication system.

Provided is a continuous method and apparatus of purifying carbon nanotubes. The continuous method and apparatus of purifying carbon nanotubes is characterized in a first purifying step for injecting a carbon nanotube liquid mixture containing an oxidizer into a purifying reactor under a sub-critical water or supercritical water condition at a pressure of 50 to 400 atm and a temperature of 100 to 600 C. to obtain a purified product, thereby removing amorphous carbon and producing the carbon nanotube product.
