The present disclosure relates to an isolated anti-FcRn antibody, which is an antibody binding to FcRn (stands for neonatal Fc receptor, also called FcRP, FcRB or Brambell receptor) that is a receptor with a high affinity for IgG or a fragment thereof, a method of preparing thereof, a composition for treating autoimmune disease, which comprises the antibody, and a method of treating and diagnosing autoimmune diseases using the antibody. The FcRn-specific antibody according to the present disclosure binds to FcRn non-competitively with IgG to reduce serum pathogenic auto-antibody levels, and thus can be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.

The present invention provides an N1-cyclic amine-N5-substituted biguanide derivative compound represented by Formula 1, a method of preparing the same and a pharmaceutical composition including the biguanide derivative or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. The biguanide derivatives have an effect of inhibiting cancer cell proliferation, cancer metastasis and cancer recurrence by activation of AMPK, even when administered in a small dose compared with conventional drugs.

Patent
Hanall Biopharma Co. | Date: 2014-10-30

The present invention relates to biguanide compounds and use thereof, more particularly, to biguanide derivatives exhibiting excellent effects for inhibition of cancer cell proliferation and inhibition of cancer metastasis and recurrence, a method for preparing the same, a pharmaceutical composition containing the same as an active ingredient, and a method of prevention or treatment of cancer comprising the step of administering an effective amount of the composition to a subject in need thereof.

The present invention relates to new uses of modified human tumor necrosis factor receptor-1 (TNFRI) polypeptide, and more particularly, to uses thereof for prevention and treatment of dry eye syndrome. The modified TNFRI or modified TNFRI fragment of the present invention has excellent TNF neutralizing activity, and inhibits TNF activity on the ocular surface of the patient to suppress inflammation induction effects related to dry eye. Therefore, the modified TNFRI or modified TNFRI fragment of the present invention exhibits remarkable effects in the prevention and treatment of dry eye syndrome, and thus can be very useful in the prevention and treatment of dry eye syndrome.

A biguanide derivative compound with N4-N5 substitution, which is represented by Formula 1, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a method of preparing the same, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same as an active ingredient are provided. The biguanide derivative may exhibit excellent effect on activation of AMPK and inhibition of cancer cell proliferation in a low dose, compared with conventional drugs, and thus, may be useful to treat diabetes mellitus, obesity, hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia, fatty liver, coronary artery disease, osteoporosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, metabolic syndrome, cancer, etc.

A pharmaceutical composition comprising losartan or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which is capable of treating or preventing side effects such as muscle toxicity caused by administering a statin-based lipid-lowering drug, and a pharmaceutical combination composition comprising a statin drug and a losartan drug as active ingredients are provided. The pharmaceutical composition comprising losartan or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof provides an effect on treating or preventing muscle-related side effects caused by administration of a statin drug for treating hyperlipidemia, as well as an intrinsic pharmacological effect for treating or preventing hypertension. When administered along with a statin drug in sequence or co-administered at the same time with the statin drug, the pharmaceutical composition can exhibit an effect of effectively or significantly decreasing or preventing side effects such as muscle toxicity.

Provided is a modified human tumor necrosis factor receptor-1 polypeptide or a fragment thereof that binds to a tumor necrosis factor in vivo or ex vivo. The modified human tumor necrosis factor receptor-1 polypeptide or fragment exhibits improved ability to bind tumor necrosis factor and resistance to proteases.
