Two collections of Pauropoda (Myriapoda) from soil cores in high-country subalpine and alpine tussock grassland in New Zealand contained 757 specimens representing 11 species, eight of which are recognised as new to science, including two representing new genera. The following new taxa are described here by the first author: Ataktopauropus Scheller gen. n. for Ataktopauropus adaios Scheller sp. n., Decapauropus orestes Scheller sp. n., Decapauropus undulatus Scheller sp. n., Nesopauropus upsilon Scheller sp. n., Pauropus otagoensis Scheller sp. n., Pounamupauropus Scheller gen. n. for Pounamupauropus bartonae Scheller sp. n. and Stylopauropoides vesica Scheller sp. n. (all seven species in family Pauropodidae), and Borneopauropus neozelandicus Scheller sp. n. (family Brachypauropodidae). The genera Nesopauropus Scheller and Borneopauropus Scheller are reported from New Zealand for the first time. © 2012 The Authors. Journal compilation © 2012 Australian Entomological Society.

As a part of the All-Taxa Biodiversity Inventory of Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Tennessee, North Carolina, U.S.A.) a collection of 192 specimens of Pauropoda has been studied. Eighteen species belonging to six genera in three families have been identified. Four of the species in Pauropodidae are new to science and described: Decapauropus arcuatilis n. sp., Stylopauropus plicatus n. sp., Donzelotauropus dividuus n. sp. and Donzelotauropus tenuitarsus n. sp. With the four new species the number of known species in GSMNP now stands at 49. A key is presented to the genera collected up to now in GSMNP. Copyright © 2011 - Magnolia Press.

Three new species of Pauropoda are described from Brazil, Allopauropus prolongus n.sp. and Decapauropus glomeratus n.sp. in Pauropodidae, and Adelphopauropus ichtyematos n. gen., n. sp. in Diplopauropodidae. Copyright © 2013 Magnolia Press.

A species new to the Scandinavian fauna, Decapauropus remyi (Bagnall), is reported from Norway. The original description is amended and a neotype is designated. Copyright © 2010 · Magnolia Press.

Five species of Pauropoda belonging to four genera have been identified from New Zealand. The genus Samarangopus is reported from there for the first time. Four new species are described by the first author: one in Pauropodidae, Decapauropus whanganuiensis n. sp., two in Eurypauropodidae, Samarangopus plicatus n. sp. and S. constellatus n. sp., and one in a new family, Eirmopauropodidae, Eirmopauropus distichos n. gen., n. sp. The new family Eirmopauropodidae is diagnosed as having head and pygidium free, not covered by 1st and 6th tergite respectively; head and tergites sclerotised with setae in regular transversal rows. © 2010 The Royal Society of New Zealand.
