General investigation and analysis of 12 low-level jet stream rainstorm examples in Guanxi from 2002 to 2010 were carried out. The results show that under large-scale background the low-level jet stream rainstorm in wide range of Guangxi is formed by interaction between weather system and meso-microscale system Im the case existing low-level jet stream, precipitation has a obvious increasing range function. Through analysis of weather background, the synopic situation of low-level jet stream rainstorm was classified and 3 classes of low-level,jet stream was presented. The radar echo mainly has 3 types : lump, belt and floe types. Then through analyzing echo strength, echo evolution and other product characteristcs, the short-term forecast model of low-level jet stream rainstorm was proposed. The model can give a reference to forecast of low-level jet stream rainstorm in a wide range of Guanxi.
