Aiming at multi-characteristic double-stage power converter, the impact of digital control to the system was introduced, the principle of digital predictive control was analyzed, and a new digital predictive control algorithm combined with predictive control and PID control was proposed and applied to double-stage power converter prototype centering on TMS320LF2407A. The experiment results show that the new algorithm has better control ability and dynamic response to the digital system with control-delay. The prototype operates well and stably outputs DC/AC waveforms of frequency and amplitude conversion. © 2011 Chin. Soc. for Elec. Eng. Source

Proposed in this paper is a high-frequency power supply with fully digital control for micro-arc oxidation. The authors introduce the structure and working principle of the system, and describe the design of two-stage full-bridge inverter with PWM for multi-characteristic output in detail. With the adoption of fully-digital DSP control, the system can output multi-characteristic waveforms as desired. Experiment and operation results show that the proposed power supply fully meets the requirements of micro-arc oxidation and is capable of outputting waveforms with variable frequency and amplitude.
