Using beam and tetrahedron elements to simulate nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC), single wall carbon nanotube (SWCNT) and polypropylene (PP), finite element method (FEM) is used to predict the mechanical properties of nano-composites. The bending, shear and torsion behaviors of nano-composites are especially investigated due to the limited amount of information in the present literature. First, mixed method (MM) and FEM are used to compare the bending stiffness of NCC/PP and SWCNT/PP composites. Second, based on mechanics of materials, the shear moduli of both types of nano-composites are obtained. Finally, fixing the number of fibers and for different volume contents, four NCC lengths are used to determine the mechanical properties of the composites. The bending and shearing performances are also compared between NCC and SWCNT based composites. In all cases, the elastic-plastic analyses are carried out and the stress or strain distributions for specific regions are also investigated. From all the results obtained, an economic analysis shows that NCC is more interesting than SWCNT to reinforce PP. © 2014.

La 1.8Ti 0.2MgNi 8.9Al 0.1 alloys have been prepared by magnetic levitation melting followed by annealing treatment. The effects of annealing on the structure and electrochemical properties of the alloys are investigated by XRD, SEM-EDS and electrochemical measurement. For as-cast and annealed La 1.8Ti 0.2MgNi 8.9Al 0.1 alloys, La(Ni,Al) 5 and LaMg 2Ni 9 are the main phases. Annealing not only causes LaNi 2 phase to disappear, but also brings higher compositional homogeneity, which contributes to the improvement of cycling stability. At 60% discharge capacity retention, the maximum charge-discharge cycles, 160 cycles (at 900 °C), is more than three times the minimum, 51 cycles (as-cast). The positive impact of annealing (at 800 °C and 900 °C) on the charge transfer rate at the surface and the hydrogen diffusion rate in the bulk enhances the HRD. The optimum annealing temperature is found to be 900 °C. © 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

BGP protocol routing update has a large amount of calculation, when the network occurs routing shock in the BGP protocol, the computational complexity would increase rapidly. In order to study the anti shock performance of BGP protocol, has take the low rate denial of service attack as the source of the shock, and studied the selection of the critical paths in the BGP routing topology deeply. Focus on the typical BGP shock attack algorithm as the reference sample, studied the improved method of attack, and analyzed the performance of the BGP protocol by the experimental simulation. © 2015 IEEE.

A semi-analytical and semi-numerical method is presented for analyzing the acoustics radiation characteristics of a rotational shell. Combining the dynamics control equation and the sound pressure expression, the vibro-acoustics equation of the rotational shell is formulated firstly. Then, a semi-analytical method is developed based on the superposition principle. Effects of aging temperature, holding time and cooling speed on the potentiodynamic polarization curves of 2205 duplex stainless steel were investigated. Microstructure morphologies of the specimens under solution and different aging treatments were observed, the main factors to influence corrosion resistance of duplex stainless steel plate were analyzed. The results show that when aged at 950 ℃, a preferable corrosion resistance can be obtained, while aged at 850 ℃, it is worst. When change the cooling method after aging from air cooling to water cooling, all the uniform corrosion resistance and pitting corrosion resistance are improved.

Finite element method (FEM) is used to predict the tensile and compressive stress-strain curves of single wall carbon nanotube (SWCNT) reinforced polypropylene (PP) composites. The numerical simulations, using shell and tetrahedron elements, are first carried out to investigate the effect of SWCNT orientation on the mechanical properties of the nano-composites. Second, the Grunfest-Young constitutive equation is selected to determine the effect of strain rate and solve the finite element program to analyze the mechanical behavior of the nano-composites. Third, the effect of SWCNT volume fraction is studied. In all cases, the shear and normal stresses distribution along the nanotube axis are investigated and compared with the macroscopic tensile or compressive stresses on the composites. At the same time, the stresses of the interface between SWCNT and the matrix along the loading direction are analyzed. Finally, the effects of SWCNT orientation, content and strain rate on the strength of the nano-composites are studied. From the results obtained, it was shown that strain rate can substantially affect the tensile and shear stresses of the composites, but do not significantly influence the initial tensile or compressive elastic moduli. This is especially the case for SWCNT orientation angles less than 30° and volume fractions higher than 0.74%. © 2013.

A series of Co-free La1.8Ti0.2MgNi 8.7Al0.3 alloys are prepared by magnetic levitation melting followed by annealing treatment. The hydrogen storage properties of as-cast and annealed La1.8Ti0.2MgNi8.7Al 0.3 alloys are investigated systematically. The results show that La(Ni,Al)5 and LaMg2Ni9 are the main phases and a LaNi2 phase disappears at 900 C. The enthalpies of the experimental alloys are close to -30.6 kJ/mol H2 of LaNi5 compound. Comparing with as-cast alloy, annealed alloys exhibit larger hydrogen storage capacity, lower hydrogen absorption/desorption plateau pressure and longer cycle life. At 60% discharge capacity retention, the maximum charge-discharge cycles, 205 cycles (annealed 900 C), are two times the minimum, 102 cycles (as-cast). The positive impact of annealing on the charge transfer rate at surface and the hydrogen diffusion rate in bulk enhances the high rate dischargeability. Annealed alloy (900 C) shows good overall hydrogen storage properties. © 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Energy and direction are tow basic properties of a vector. A discrete signal is a vector in nature. RIP of compressive sensing can not show the direction information of a signal but show the energy information of a signal. Hence, RIP is not complete. Orthogonal matrices can preserve angles and lengths. Preservation of length can show energies of signals like RIP do; and preservation of angle can show directions of signals. Therefore, Restricted Conformal Property (RCP) is proposed according to preservation of angle. RCP can show the direction of a signal just as RIP shows the energy of a signal. RCP is important supplement and development of RIP. Tow different proofs of RCP are given, namely, RCP-JL and RCP-IP. © 2014 IEEE.

According to the automobile industry cluster situation at present, the paper introduces the method and train of thought of automobile industry cluster based on GIS from demand analysis, data base design, function design and so on. Also demonstration analysis in one automobile industry cluster. In construction, use client layer, web layer, business logic layer and data layer to design the system architecture. It improved the system maintenance performance, used Oracle and ArcSDE to access space data and attribute data, and mass data storage management. To study the chemical constituents of Cardiospermum halicacabum. The constituents were isolated and purified by silica gel and polyamide, their chemical structures were identified by physicochemcial properties and spectral methods. Eight compounds were separated and identified as: pentadecanoie acid (1), apigenin (2), protocatechuic acid (3), protocatechualdehyde (4), hentriacontanol (5), calycosin (6), rutin (7), quercetin (8). All compounds are isolated from this plant for the first time.
