In the hospitality industry, customers are seen as the key driving a business’s survival and success. The industry is therefore highly competitive and much more aware of the provision of quality service to meet customer expectations. Since hotel businesses are providing similar superior facilities among competitors in the market, service quality has been considered as the first priority and essential part of the organisational culture, making today’s businesses more concerned with delighting their customers than simply satisfying them [1]. Consequently, Total Quality Management (TQM) is becoming a widely used business management strategy within the hospitality industry. The intent of this essay focuses on the issue of service quality with the selected hotel - The Portman Ritz Carlton, Shanghai. It will first introduce TQM theory and then discuss how the approach helps to generate and maintain high quality service to achieve “customer delight”. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

The last few decades proves to be an era of booming communication and information disciplines, bringing about profound influence on people's life and every socio-economic sector. In this dramatically changed world, it is being found that many of the systems engineering principles and business practices that some industries have purposely pursued no longer function effectively in a System of Systems environment. This paper is inspired by the embedded, 'system of systems (SoS) thinking' in the context of military programming. The purpose of this paper is to draw a conceptual framework for a smart tourism industry information system in responding to competitive challenges. The approach here is to illustrate how this SoS thinking and corresponding SoS engineering (SoSE) may be applied through the top-level design for the smart system. For designing a policy maker-responsive, informative system, an emerging complex spatial information approach, geographical simulation, is introduced. This holistic means includes: 1) simulation of the tourism SoS' architecture and evolution process through cellular automata (CA) and multi-agent systems (MAS) techniques, based on remote sensing data and GIS instrument; 2) illustration of the mechanism of industrial evolution by scale-free network analysis and social influence network with dynamic Bayesian network theory. This paper calls for a particular attention of communication specialists to concern the forefront of information (esp. spatial information) and systems engineering disciplines. © 2013 GIRI.

This paper proposes a novel fuzzy soft set approach in decision making based on grey relational analysis and Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence. First, the uncertain degrees of various parameters are determined via grey relational analysis, which is applied to calculate the grey mean relational degree. Second, suitable mass functions of different independent alternatives with different parameters are given according to the uncertain degree. Third, to aggregate the alternatives into a collective alternative, Dempster's rule of evidence combination is applied. Finally, the alternatives are ranked and the best alternatives are obtained. The effectiveness and feasibility of this approach are demonstrated by comparing with the mean potentiality approach because the measure of performance of this approach is the same as the mean potentiality approach's, the belief measure of the whole uncertainty falls from 0.4723 to 0.0782 (resp. 0.3821 to 0.0069) in the example of Section 5 (resp. In this article, we study the limit cycles bifurcated from a Liénard system with a heteroclinic loop connecting two nilpotent saddles. We apply expansion theory of a first-order Melnikov function to investigate the number of limit cycles near the heteroclinic loop and the center, and by some perturbation theory we find 3 limit cycles with 7 different distributions. Last, the least upper bound of the number of limit cycles bifurcated from the annulus is given by an algebraic criterion developed in J. Differ. Equ. 251, 1656-1669 (2011). © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht.

With the continually expanding of city construction scale in china, metropolitan area network transmission system is established at present. But with the increase of network users, the network capacity can not meet the requirements of our normal life, and 4G network technology is to expand the capacity of the network developed. According to its size, building the appropriate model for the metropolitan area network is the current focus issues of experts and scholars. Based on the internet information technology, the establishment of a metropolitan area network crisis early warning mechanism is the focus of this paper. Research on early warning mechanism and the construction of the main problems are the establishment of an information transmission link. Therefore, based on the transmission characteristics of information transmission network, we carry on the division for the metropolitan area network level. Through the analysis of whole network resources deployment, we put forward a reasonable solution according to the performance index, making the whole of early warning mechanism has shown more rationality, but also provides a theoretical method and technical support for the establishment of a similar warning mechanism. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

How to solve constrained optimization problems constitutes an important part of the research on optimization problems. In this paper, a hybrid immune clonal particle swarm optimization multi-objective algorithm is proposed to solve constrained optimization problems. In the proposed algorithm, the population is first initialized with the theory of good point set. Then, differential evolution is adopted to improve the local optimal solution of each particle, with immune clonal strategy incorporated to improve each particle. As a final step, sub-swarm is used to enhance the position and velocity of individual particle. The new algorithm has been tested on 24 standard test functions and three engineering optimization problems, whose results show that the new algorithm has good performance in both robustness and convergence. © 2017 World Scientific Publishing Company

One of the advantages of rough set theory is the fact that an unknown target concept can be approximately characterized based on existing knowledge structures in a knowledge base. Knowledge reductions are one of the key problems in the study of rough set theory. In this paper, ∗-reductions and their features in a knowledge base are explored. Moreover, communication between knowledge bases is proposed based on the use of homomorphisms between relation information systems, and several invariant characterizations under homomorphisms are obtained. These results will be significant for establishing a framework for granular computing in knowledge bases. © 2015 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

Sports industry is a booming new industry in China, and it has played a role of pull effect and image display in China's economic development. Sports industry can effectively promote the tourism, hotel, communications, logistics, and other related industries, thus contributing to the sustainable and rapid economic growth. In addition, sports industry can also help to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation. The "sport setting up the stage, economy singing" policy has become a booster for the rapid development of China's sports industry. However, the sports industry has brought a series of problems in the current process of development, which severely restricted the development of the industry. On the basis of elaborating the third allocation economic thought, by analyzing the problems faced by the current development of China's sports industry, this paper puts forward that the third allocation economic thought can compensate for the defects of market regulation and government regulation, effectively solve many problems faced in the development of China's sports industry. © 2014 WIT Press.
