A direct determination of chlorine ion in zinc indium electrolyte by chlorine ion selective electrode was proposed. The selection and dosage of ionic strength adjustor, the influences of solution acidity, concentration of zinc sulfate and indium, and other existing ions were discussed. The results showed that, the chlorine ion content in zinc indium electrolyte could be directly and rapidly determined by chlorine ion selective electrode using glacial acetic acid and potassium nitrate as ionic strength adjustor in sulfuric acid medium. Moreover, when the concentration of indium ion was below 0.04 μg/mL, the zinc sulfate (<0.15 g/mL) did not interfere in the determination. Other impurity elements in sample also had no obvious interference in the determination. The proposed method was applied to the determination of chlorine ion in zinc indium electrolyte sample. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was smaller than 6.0%, and the determination results were consistent with those obtained by turbidimetry.

For the first time, polyaniline/activity mesophase carbon microbeads composite was synthesized by in-situ chemical polymerization which used ammonium persulfate(APS) as oxidant, the middle-phase activated carbon microspheres and aniline (ANI) as the main raw material. The microstructure and component of the obtained materials were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). With the aim to investigate the electrochemical performances of the composite, Hybrid capacitor was fabricated, and cyclic voltammetry, ac impedance spectroscopy, galvanostatic charge-discharge tests were done. The results show that in 1M H2SO4aqueous solution as electrolyte, specific capacitance of composite materials increases to 288.46F/g.

A reversed phase ion pair isocratic elution liquid chromatographic method has been developed and validated for determination of sulfonated by-product (α-carboxyl cyclohexane sulphonic acid) during the production of caprolactam from toluene(SNIA). The mixture of methanol-phosphate buffer containing tetrahexylammonium bromide as the ion-pairing reagent is used as the mobile phase. The acidity by-products such as sulfonated by-product, cyclohexane carboxylic acid, have been separated on Shim-pack VP-ODS (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) with UV absorbance detector(λ=213 nm). The mobile phase contains 37.5% methanol (v/v%), 75 mmol/L dipotassium hydrogen phosphate buffer (pH 3.0) and 7.0 mmol/L tetrahexylammonium bromide. The method has been applied to the analysis of samples with satisfactory result for α-carboxyl cyclohexane sulphonic acid. At the same time, the content of cyclohexane carboxylic acid and acidity by-product relative level can also be determined by this method. It provides a favorable basis for industrial production optimization and control.
